Fans were excited to see Ewan McGregor sporting his iconic Obi-Wan Kenobi beard back in April, an excellent reminder of the actor's return to the Star Wars franchise. Now, the actor has totally surprised his fans by looking unrecognizable as Roy Halston Frowick, aka Halston, in Netflix's upcoming miniseries.

The actor will portray Halston, the titular character and the single most influential person in the history of American fashion.

The Netflix series offers an interesting take on the revolutionary fashion designer's life, who famously paved the way for celebrity fashion designers who came after him. McGregor looks incredible as Halston, and his new role only goes on to prove how versatile he is as an actor.

The official description for the Netflix miniseries reads, "The limited series 'Halston' follows the legendary fashion designer (Ewan McGregor), as he leverages his single, invented name into a worldwide fashion empire that’s synonymous with luxury, sex, status and fame, literally defining the era he lives in, 1970s and 80s New York — until a hostile takeover forces him to battle for control of his most precious asset… the name Halston itself."
