The all-new Summer House: Martha's Vineyard is set to shine a light on Black Excellence - and Bria Fleming couldn't be prouder to be part of it.

We sat down with the businesswoman and reality star to hear more about how she feels, playing a part in bringing more representation to Bravo.

Plus, she opens up about her latest venture: a beauty line centered on inclusivity.

Bria Can't Wait To Shine A Light On The History Of Martha's Vineyard

While Summer House: Martha's Vineyard has all the hallmarks of the original show, there's an added element Bria can't wait to shine a light on.

That is, history.

"Martha's Vineyard is a big part of Black history," she explains - though she's quick to acknowledge that she wasn't aware of it, initially.

"I didn't know much about the island before the show. I honestly thought it was a vineyard!" she laughs.

"I used to work at a winery, and these ladies would come in and tell me I should go, but they never got into the history of it. It was great to be educated on that - and it's such an honor to be part of something that educates others, too."

She adds that, for her, the educational aspect is what will keep viewers engaged, all season long.

"People like to be stimulated, and they like to learn, and Summer House: Martha's Vineyard does that."

Bria also points out that, after delving into the backstory, many questions asked about the cast will make sense.

"Some have asked why the show has an all-Black cast, so I think when people learn more about Martha's Vineyard, they'll get a clearer understanding."

She's Thrilled To Play A Role In Representation

As for how she's feeling about the representation aspect, Bria beams that she couldn't be prouder.

"It's an honor to be able to represent the Black community, and to show Black Excellence - and to show viewers that you can make it."

Having said that, she also points out that at the end of the day, she's only being herself.

"I can't represent everybody, but I know I can do the best representation of myself," she explains.

"If people like that, that's great, and if they admire me, that would be nice, too - but I'm just being me."

And She's About To Launch Her Very Own, Inclusive Makeup Line

It's safe to say, representation and inclusivity are important to Bria.

Outside of the show, the entrepreneur also has an inclusive beauty brand in the works.

"I'm launching a beauty line, starting with lip kits," she shares.

"The story behind Bria Beauty is, when I was younger, it was always hard for me, as a woman of color, to find colors that I felt comfortable in. I love dark lip colors, and I could never really find products that worked for me."

Bria adds that the line - coconut-based, vegan and cruelty free - launches this June.

And, she chuckles, Bria Beauty has become her chief area of focus, above her already-established luxury reselling business.

"I'm super excited about it!" she beams.

Everything Is Falling Into Place

Bria already has several years under her belt as a businesswoman in the fashion space, and now that she's gone into beauty and lifestyle reality TV, too, she's having a full-circle moment.

Reminiscing on her journey to this point, she muses that fashion, modeling, acting and ballet were all things she tried her hand at - and it's all led up to where she is now.

As for the reality TV portion, she laughs that her teenage self would be thrilled.

"Going into middle school, I watched all these reality shows. Then I went to high school in Calabasas, so obviously the Kardashians were top of mind!"

Now 27, she smiles that everything has fallen into place, and she couldn't be happier about it.

"It took a long time to get to this point, but I'm glad to have been able to accomplish my goals - and to be on such a big show, because Summer House: Martha's Vineyard is a big deal. Being on an all-Black cast, and the history behind the setting ... it's a lot."

We couldn't be happier for Bria - and we're excited to follow her along for the ride.
