With a singing career spanning two decades, Faith Evans has sold over $20 million in records all across the globe. These two musically-influential artists had been friends for over 20 years before getting married in 2018. However, since the announcement of their divorce in 2021, the two have been involved in some messy scandals.

Stevie J And Faith Evans' Relationship Timeline

Stevie J had become acquainted with Faith Evans after the former had worked with the late Notorious B.I.G. and had eventually formed a friendship with B.I.G.’s wife at the time, Faith.

After forging a friendship for over 20 years, Stevie finally admitted that he and Faith were officially dating back in 2016. He revealed it in an interview with The Breakfast Club, a radio show, stating that he and Faith were already like family to each other. It seemed, at the time, getting into a relationship was the next sensible step for the pair.

However, in 2017, Faith revealed in another interview with The Breakfast Club that she and Stevie J had called off their relationship. Faith recalls that she was never really sure if Stevie was ready.

Faith, meanwhile, had been mature enough in the relationship to realize that there was a chance it might not work out. Faith said that she had been smart enough to know when to cut her losses and fall back, and that was what she did.

Faith revealed that she and Stevie J had called it quits due to the latter’s dating allegations with Joseline Hernandez who fans think might be sued for doing her own show following her exit from Love & Hip Hop.

In 2018, Stevie J and Faith stirred the pot with dating rumors once again, after Stevie posted a flirty video of him and Faith on Instagram while promoting their song, A Minute. Some time passed, and the pair decided to get married that same year.

They held their ceremony in Las Vegas after getting their marriage license. Two years after the pair had married, Faith was arrested on a felony domestic assault charge.

Cops were called to the couple’s shared home and saw that Stevie’s face had been littered with marks and scratches. Since then, the couple’s relationship had turned sour, which left their fans convinced that the pair would soon call it quits again.

However, in another interview, Stevie reiterated that leaving their relationship was never going to happen. He even went so far as to say that he loves her, and he is not going anywhere. In 2021, Stevie J filed for divorce.

The Ridiculous Demands Of Stevie J From Faith Evans

Since the news of their divorce, fans have speculated that the pair might get back together. However, in light of their separation, new documents have unveiled the ridiculous demands Stevie has for his former wife.

For starters, the record-breaking producer wants spousal support from Faith. It’s still unclear how much Stevie is asking, but if this gets granted, Faith will have to pay a monthly fee to Stevie. Normally it's the other way around, like how Ewan McGregor pays spousal support for his ex-wife.

Meanwhile, Faith, on the other hand, won’t be able to collect money from him as he had requested a judge deny her right to collect spousal support. Not only is that, but the divorce documents state Stevie J unaware of the nature and extent of his property assets and debts. Meaning the couple’s properties will now undergo an assessment in lieu of a prenup.

Even with news of the couple's ongoing divorce battle, Faith and Stevie had been spotted together multiple times. Stevie has even posted videos of the both of them online.

Their relationship seems to be turbulent, as Stevie also once accused Faith of being unfaithful to him during their relationship. In a leaked video, Faith tries to get away from Stevie, while the latter blocks her exit. The pair yell at each other, with Faith telling Stevie she hates him and asks to be left alone.

Stevie then verbally attacked his wife, called her names, and accused her of cheating. Stevie later apologized publicly – through Instagram – stating his remorse for the way he acted, and he retracts his accusations against Faith. He even called her an amazing person during the whole ordeal.

What Are They Doing Now After Their Separation

After their divorce proceedings, the two seem to be on good terms once again. Stevie had asked Faith for forgiveness once more, though it’s unclear whether they have started a romantic relationship once again. Meanwhile, Faith has remained silent about their relationship, choosing to separate her personal life from her career. Since their separation, Faith has gone on to co-produce and star in her reality show, R&B Divas: Atlanta.

The show offers a look inside the lives of singers as they balance their careers with their personal lives. She has also competed in season six of the show, The Masked Singer, as the Skunk. Meanwhile, Stevie starred in his show, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, and has appeared in several shows as himself.
