Davidson’s high-profile romances have certainly been attracting a great deal of attention in recent years. And while some of these relationships ended after several months, it is also worth noting that the comedian has maintained amicable relationships with a lot of his exes. Understandably, there’s a great deal more interest in Davidson’s dating life today. At the same time, fans can’t help but wonder why women can’t help but fall for him.

Ariana Grande Said Pete Davidson Was An ‘Amazing Distraction’

Davidson and Grande’s whirlwind romance began shortly after the singer broke with her ex-boyfriend, the late rapper Mac Miller. Grande was heartbroken and then, she met Davidson after friends persuaded her to leave Los Angeles for New York for a little while. “My friends were like, ‘Come! We’re gonna have a fun summer,” the singer recalled during an interview with Vogue. “And then I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction.”

And while Grande and Davidson seemed very much in love while they were together, Grande somehow knew things weren’t going to work out between them in hindsight. “It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic,” she explained. “And I loved him, and I didn’t know him.” The couple even got engaged shortly after it was confirmed that they were dating. They split just months later.

Professionals Have Also Weighed In On Pete Davidson’s Romantic Appeal

While most of the women who have been involved with Davidson have stayed silent over the years, some professionals who have been eager to analyze the comedian. For starters, neuropsychologist Sanam Hafeez believes women like the fact that Davidson is the antithesis of a typical star.

“That is rare to find in a successful [person], let alone someone who has reached the top of a comedy career,” Dr. Hafeez told Well + Good. “For other women in show business, that can be an extremely appealing trait, that a man is secure enough with himself not to let an image-conscious industry change who he is.”

Over the years, the comedian has been candid about his mental health struggles (SNL creator Lorne Michaels even told him to take some time off after Davidson admitted to having suicidal thoughts). Davidson had also been open about his rehab stints.

More recently, he also revealed that he was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. “While many young men in their twenties attempt to put up a front of coolness and Instagram perfection, Davidson does the opposite with achingly raw honesty,” she explained. “He's open about his physical and mental health struggles, and that's something a lot of people really need to hear.”

On the other hand, clinical psychologist Aimee Daramus believes women are attracted to Davidson because he makes them laugh. “He's got a great sense of humor, and funny is always attractive,” she pointed out.

Emily Ratajkowski may have never dated Davidson, but she certainly understands why a lot of women have. Simply put, the comedian is the whole package. “First of all, you should know that about Pete. Pete—he's got the height. Obviously women find him very attractive,” she remarked while on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

“I feel like only other men feel [that he isn't attractive]. Guys are like, 'Wow. What's that guy got?' And I'm like, I mean, he seems super charming.” Like Dr. Hafeez, Ratajkowski also pointed out that women are attracted to Davidson’s vulnerability.

At the same time, the model also said that women love Davidson because they admire the fact that he has a “good relationship with his mom.” “We love it, Ratajkowski admitted. “it’s hard to find them.”
