Actress Allison Mack has been sentenced to three years in prison for her role in the NXIVM sex cult.

The 38-year-old, best known for playing Chloe Sullivan on WB/CW show Smallville, pled guilty to charges of racketeering and conspiracy. Her role in the cult led by Keith Raniere was to recruit women to become his sex slaves.

She penned a letter addressed to her victims, begging for their forgiveness. Mack’s three-year sentence (she was also fined $20.000 for her crimes) comes a day after comedian Bill Cosby’s conviction for sexual assault was overturned by Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court.

The letter addressed to "those who have been harmed by my actions" was filed to the court by her lawyers, who requested that she face no prison time for her crimes.

"I threw myself into the teachings of Keith Raniere with everything I had," Mack wrote.

"I believed, whole-heartedly, that his mentorship was leading me to a better, more enlightened version of myself... This was the biggest mistake and regret of my life," she continued.

"I am sorry to those of you that I brought into NXIVM. I am sorry I ever exposed you to the nefarious and emotionally abusive schemes of a twisted man," she added.

Twitter Has No Mercy For Mack And Bill Cosby

Mack’s sentence — considered too lenient by some — prompted social media users to voice their outrage on Twitter.

Many see the actress’s short sentence and Cosby getting out of jail due to a technicality after serving only two years as a slap in the face of survivors. Sixty women came forward and spoke about being molested by the comedian.

“Bill gets to walk after a couple of years. Allison Mack only gets three for recruiting sex slaves for an abusive cult. Man, we just do not give a s**t what people do to women,” one tweet reads.

“To the victims of Allison Mack and Bill Cosby, I’m so sorry the justice system failed you today,” another user wrote.

“Allison Mack got a whopping 3 years for her hand in sex trafficking, and Cosby is set free.

Today is clearly not a day for accountability,” one user noted.

Actor James Franco also recently settled a sexual misconduct case for $2.2 million. He had been accused of engaging in sexually charged behavior with some female students of his now-defunct acting school.

“I dont have an eloquent or funny tweet about it but between James Franco, Bill Cosby, and Allison Mack, today is just another s**t day for sexual assault survivors and further proof that our 'justice' system is so easily circumvented by the rich,” one tweet reads.

Finally, some pointed out that Mack will be serving more years than Cosby, who had been found guilty of sexual assault.

"Allison Mack will serve more time than Bill Cosby. Fascinating,” writer Roxan Gay tweeted after the sentence.
