On Saturday, former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson took to Twitter to announce his plans to start a new artist management company.

“So I've decided to put it out there in the world today,” he continued, in a separate tweet. “I'm going to start my own music management company to help develop new artists. Watch this space"

Tomlinson went on to say that announcing the management company is the first step of “actualizing the idea," but also made sure to specify that "at this stage that's all this is. An idea!"

In another tweet, he explained that his intentions are to start a management company to work with artists, not a label. He hasn’t released further details on his plan, but it's clear Tomlinson was excited to make it known that this is currently a work in progress.

Fans of the 29-year old singer were quick to show their support for his aspirations:

In July 2020, Tomlinson announced that he had parted ways with Simon Cowell's Syco Music. Cowell and Tomlinson have had a working relationship since the singer appeared on The X-Factor with One Direction in 2010.

"Hope everyone is doing ok! Just wanted to let you know that Syco Music and I have agreed to part ways," Tomlinson tweeted during that time. "I'm really excited for the future and to be back in the studio writing the next album. Can't wait to finally see you all on tour!!"

Since One Direction announced their hiatus, Tomlinson has released four solo singles and his debut album, WallsThe album is currently available to stream on Spotify.
