Whether it's a regret that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have or questions about why Mischa Barton starred on the reboot, MTV's franchise The Hills has been a huge part of the pop culture universe.

Now that many years have passed since The Hills was on TV, and now that there's a renewed interest thanks to the reboot The Hills: New Beginnings, cast members are sharing their true thoughts about the reality franchise.

Lo Bosworth has given many interviews and fans love hearing what she has to say. She has some surprising thoughts about The Hills, so let's take a look.

How Lo Felt

Lo Bosworth has shared that she didn't like being on Laguna Beach, and she has been honest about being on the spin-off The Hills as well.

Lo Bosworth talked about starring on The Hills and shared that it wasn't the best experience. According to Just Jared Jr., Lo was interviewed on a podcast called Unzipped and said she didn't like being famous for starring on a reality TV show, and she doesn't seem to be super interested in being well-known or having people follow each move that she makes.

Lo said, “It comes back to just being young, being on TV for the first time, being at college [and] kids making fun of you… I think that initial trauma has never really left. I realized quickly when I was on television I was like, Oh, I actually don’t like being on TV. I prefer to just be an anonymous person, but I opened Pandora’s box. I can never close it again.”

Lo also explained, “I was just not interested in other people in an editing thing deciding, ‘Okay for Lauren the person, who are we going to present her and what she’s going to be doing.'"

Lo was so young when she was on both shows, and anyone in the same situation would likely look back and feel that it was tough to deal with scenes being edited and produced.

In an interview with The Cut, Lo said that there were some good parts of being on a reality show, but she ultimately wants to live her life away from that. She said, “For a certain period of time, being young, having access to certain things, and getting a nice paycheck from time to time was enjoyable. But people staring at me — I don’t like it. And I didn’t like not being in charge of my narrative."

It's also interesting to hear Lo share the truth about starring on The Hills. When the cast was interviewed by Us Weekly and got into the details of what really happened, Lo said that Audrina wasn't her pal off-screen.

Lo explained, "Audrina wasn’t friends with us in real life, ever. She just never had much interest in forming a genuine relationship. So there was an awkwardness that was apparent, and they played into that. But I would not say that there was ever a real-life feud or animosity."

Lo's Difficult Experience

Lo Bosworth has had another life-changing experience: according to E! News, she was at a restaurant in New York City to celebrate the birthday of a friend, and a door hit her in the head. She had a brain injury and it took a long time to recover.

Lo shared that her team at her company, Love Wellness, were totally there for her as she needed to make sure she took the time she needed to get better. She explained, "I was struggling to tell him the difference in monetary value between a quarter and a dime. It took me a solid 30 seconds to figure it out. It was during appointments like that that I realized, ‘Wow, I really need to take it easy.'"

Lo has a great, inspiring Instagram account and she shares a lot of her life, including the healthy lifestyle that she lives. In one recent post, she shared that her "3 biggest health and wellness concerns" and mentioned that she wanted to maintain her weight and was also dealing with chronic fatigue. In a light-hearted post, she shared a photo of herself wearing a face mask and wrote in the caption, "it’s called wellness okay?" She feels so relatable and like a regular person just living her life.
