Adrian Grenier shot to fame after starring in the hit HBO series Entourage. Since then, Grenier has taken on several roles for both television and the big screen. However, the actor has mostly stayed out public eye whenever possible.

And while fans may be aware that Grenier has also immersed himself in more environmental projects in recent years, there are still some aspects of his post-Entourage life that have left them in shock.

He Still Looks Back On His Entourage Days Fondly

During its eight-season run, Entourage has gone on to secure 26 Emmy nods and six wins. Produced by Mark Wahlberg (the show is loosely based around the actor’s life), the series famously featured cameos from the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Bono, Stan Lee, LeBron James, Matt Damon, Martin Scorcese, and many others. Entourage became a cultural phenomenon and Grenier remains incredibly proud of the show that he got to be a part of.

“We just had a pilot and at a certain moment it just clicked and we realised that the heart of the show was not all the fun, it was the relationship between the guys,” the actor recalled during an interview with GQ Australia. “So when the chemistry came to life, it was just magic.” Grenier also believes that Entourage has one important lesson. Especially at a time when people are active on social media, the actor cautions that “everybody has a chance to get lost in the image.” “Vince understands that and keeps grounded through what’s important, which is his friends and his relationships.”

As much as he enjoyed working on Entourage though, Grenier also believes that a reboot might not work. “I just can't imagine how the guys would get [through a] post-pandemic world. They couldn't travel, they'd have to stay home with each other. It sounds like a living hell, actually,” he told People. “All the guys chose to live together and elongate their adolescence. But after, you know, a year in lockdown together in one house might be too much for anyone to handle, even the boys.”

At the same time, Grenier is now far removed from the glamorous lifestyle that Vince has become accustomed to. In fact, the actor doesn’t even live in Hollywood anymore.

He Has Since Moved Out Of Hollywood

It’s safe to say that Grenier contemplated on a move for several years. “I bought a place in Austin five years ago,” the actor revealed during an interview with Austin Life for its June 2021 issue. “And a year ago I decided to move here permanently.” It seems Hollywood had gotten to glitzy for Grenier and he wanted to move somewhere a little more laid back. “Austin is cosmopolitan without being snooty; it’s earthy,” the actor remarked. “People are smart and successful but they don’t flaunt it. There’s nothing to prove, people accept you and it felt good right away.” Aside from that, Grenier believes that there also perks that come with living here. “Tacos three times a day… And the weather – I’d had enough of brutal winters.”

He Embraced Farm Life Too

Later on, Grenier also decided to move from Austin to Bastrop where he could live in a farm. For the actor, it was time to practice what he preached. “I have been doing environmental work for the last 20 years, I’ve started organizations and run non-profits, all designed to tell people to live more in line with nature,” he explained. “And yet, I wasn’t living that way.”

Grenier proceeded to take his environmental passion more seriously, even getting a permaculture certification. Moreover, he intends build something beyond a typical farm. “Our intention is to create a wildlife sanctuary, with elements to give wild animals respite – food for bees and butterflies, birdboxes for migratory birds,” Grenier explained. “We’ll have lamas or alpacas, maybe some goats – not for a livestock operation but to keep the grass down, our living mowers, and to create manure for nutrients for the farm, compose.” So far, the actor’s farm boasts of a “fruit forest,” which features apples, grapes, blueberries, tangerines, loquats, figs, peaches, and avocados.

He’s Also Found Love

As it turns out, Grenier decision to make his big move may have also been inspired by someone very important to him. “When I decided I wanted I to settle in Texas I knew I wanted a partner to live that experience with me,” the actor said. “That’s where Jordan comes in. We have a long history, and I said, ‘I’m in love, and if you are too, I want to build something together.”

While Grenier devotes himself to their “sanctuary,” his partner had decided to attend school for acupuncture. Hence, they needed a place that was both ideal and convenient. In fact, Grenier believes that the farm is “just far enough out of Austin for us to have the nature we were looking for, but sill close enough for her to have access to school.”

Grenier currently stars in the new Netflix series Clickbait. He’s also been attached to another upcoming film project. And while that may keep him in Hollywood for a little while, don’t expect Grenier to stick around.
