Kate Winslet is a Tony Award away from officially becoming an EGOT winner! Luckily for the actress, her Grammy, Emmy, and Oscar are certainly keeping her company for the time being.

Although her career has remained one of the most successful in Hollywood, as you can clearly see, there has definitely been a time or two where she's regretted working on a few projects, specifically one involving film director, Woody Allen.

There have been an array of actors in the industry who have expressed regret over working with Woody Allen, and Kate is one of them. The duo worked together back in 2015 in Wonleaving fans disappointed over her appearance in Wonder Wheel, and here's why!

Kate Winslet Works With Woody Allen

Kate Winslet is no stranger to the spotlight! The actress came to prominence back in 1994 in the Percy Jackson production of Heavenly Creatures. It was only three years later that Kate landed a life-changing role as Rose DeWitt Bukater, turn Dawson, in the record-breaking film, Titanic.

Kate catapulted to great heights following her time working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio! The actress went on to appear in countless Oscar-nominated films, seven of which she went on to become nominated for herself, however, not all of her film choices were good ones.

In 2017, Kate Winslet appeared in Woody Allen's film, Wonder Wheel, along with Justin Timberlake, and Jim Belushi. Well, despite big names being part of the film, it went on to gross $15.9 million at the box office, with a $25 million budget, making it clear folks weren't all that interested in seeing it.

This reaction toward Woody Allen's films stems from years of talk regarding sexual assault and misconduct accusations made against Allen, leaving many to boycott the director's films.

Despite the accusations, which first began back in 1992, many big Hollywood names still agreed to take roles in his movies, Kate included!

Well, after quite a lot of backlash and time to reflect, Kate Winslet broke her silence to Vanity Fair, revealing that she does, in fact, regret having worked with Woody Allen in Wonder Wheel.

That isn't the only film that Kate regrets having been a part of! In 2011, Winslet appeared in Carnage, a Roman Polanski film, who has also been accused of assault.

"It’s like, what the f*** was I doing working with Woody Allen and Roman Polanski?" Kate told the publication. "It’s unbelievable to me now how those men were held in such high regard, so widely in the film industry and for as long as they were. It’s disgraceful!" she said.

Although there's no turning back time on this one, Kate has made it clear that she is definitely taking responsibility for this one! "I’m grappling with those regrets, but what do we have if we aren’t able to just be truthful about all of it?" Kate Winslet shared.

As Kate recognizes her past mistake, it's certainly not one she will make again. Fans were glad to see the Oscar-winning actress own her involvement with the film director.

Luckily for Winslet, her career continues to blossom! She is set to appear in a handful of films this year and next, including Lee, Avatar 2, Black Beauty, and Ammonite.
