WandaVision has won its first Emmy Awards, and now Twitter fans are celebrating the show. The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to be successful with their beloved and critically acclaimed shows and movies.

On September 11th, a part of the Creative Arts Emmys were held. This year, the award ceremonies are being split into three ceremonies on the weekend of September 11th and 12th.

WandaVision, Marvel Studio’s miniseries, took home two Emmy Awards. This is the first time the studio has won any Emmy Awards. WandaVision so far has won in the categories of Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half-Hour) and Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes.

WandaVision earned a total of 23 Emmy nominations this year, for the following categories: Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series, Lead Actress In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie, Lead Actor In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie, Directing For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie, Writing For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie and more.

Fans on Twitter are celebrating the good news.

Some acknowledged that this is a first for the MCU.

Many raved about the show’s costume designs.

Others thought it should have won in even more categories.

Some even went so far as to call it the best origin story in the MCU to date.

The series was created for Disney+ by Jac Schaeffer. It focuses on Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany), two super-powered beings living and concealing their true identities in the town of Westview, New Jersey. As they move through different decades, they begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Disney+ also received Emmy Awards for its series, The Mandalorian. It won in the categories of Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series (Half-Hour), Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour) and Prosthetic Makeup. Black Is King won in the category of Costumes for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program. That means that Disney+ took home a total of six Emmy Awards in its first year of streaming.

The main show, the 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards, are being held on September 19th and will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer. Marvel fans will have to wait and see if WandaVision will score even more awards.
