Demi Lovato fans have been left dumbfounded at the singer's latest attempt to communicate with extraterrestrials.

In an episode of their brand new show Unidentified With Demi Lovato, the Let It Go singer employed some pretty bizarre techniques in an attempt to communicate with aliens and ghosts.

The show premiered, September 30, on the Peacock streaming service. The premise of the show sees Lovato, little sister Dallas Lovato and best friend, Matthew Scott Montgomery as they attempt to “uncover the truth about the UFO phenomena.” The show also includes their attempts to make contact with any life form beyond those already discovered, whether that be aliens, ghosts, or spirits.

In the lead-up to the release of the series, many were bubbling with excitement at what was to come. Lovatics expressed their excitement as they could not wait to see Lovato add “alien hunter” to their long list of job titles.

For example, one fan wrote, “SO AWESOME - This is such an exciting time, so much happening in the UFO world, and our generation is catching up to so many years of investigation and exposure..!! Thankful..!!”

However, upon the series’ release, one particular moment left fans scratching their heads as to how much credibility Lovato actually had to be investigating such topics.

During one episode, Lovato finds themselves in a dark house home to a spirit named Carmen. As Lovato communicates with Carmen, they make the statement that the spirit “has trauma.”

Lovato states, “She has trauma and that's why she doesn't like men.” Following their statement, the male crew decides to step back from the scene claiming that they respect the spirit and so will allow Lovato to speak to Carmen alone.

Lovato then shares that they “have trauma too” before asking the spirit if she likes to sing. Following this, Montgomery claims that Lovato should sing for the spirit as an offering so that the men could return to the room.

Lovato agrees before stating, “Well I always sing Skyscraper when I feel like singing something emotional. “ After this, Lovato begins to sing their hit song to the spirit. Following the bizarre scene being aired, many took to Twitter to troll the singer. One stated, “I just know the aliens were done with their a**."

Whilst another added, “If those spirits were at peach I’m sure they just turned demonic after having to hear Demi sing.” One even claimed that if Lovato continued to sing to aliens and spirits, they would cause an “alien invasion".

Another agreed, adding that the singing would lead to our species being “exterminated.”
