Nicki Minaj's fans are appalled by Don Lemon’s recent comments on live TV, where he subliminally body-shamed the female rapper over her stance on Covid vaccinations.

On Monday, the “Hard White” superstar shared on Twitter that she would not be attending this year’s Met Gala, stressing that because officials wanted guests to be vaccinated, Minaj wanted to do thorough research on the vaccination jab available before injecting it into her body.

She also recalled how a friend of her cousin had taken the jab and experienced swelling in his nether regions — a claim which left many broadcasters and journalists up in arms, insisting that the New Yorker was spreading false information to her millions of impressionable fans.

Lemon weighed in with his remarks on his CNN show, Donn Lemon Tonight, where he said, “The people who are not getting vaccines, who are believing the lies on the internet instead of science, it’s time to start shaming them or leave them behind because they are keeping the majority of Americans behind.”

He then appeared to take aim at Minaj when he said, “You know what they get shots in nowadays? In their rear-ends. They’re getting shots to make it bigger. They’re getting shots in their face. They don’t know what’s in Botox.”

Fans were outraged by the comment, saying that to talk about someone’s appearance simply because they said they wanted to do more research on the jab was uncalled for and totally out of line.

People on Twitter were convinced that the news anchor was talking about Minaj, though he never addressed her by name during his rant.

Minaj later took to her Instagram Story, writing, “Now if I start discussing what you get in YOUR rear end, I’d be wrong right?

“If you’re ever discussing facts with a person who’s telling you to buy, or get smthng & you go ‘ok cool, tell me more about it’ and they start insulting you, RUN. Demonizing ppl for asking questions won’t help your cause Uncle Tomiana.”

Minaj, who has taken a lot of heat for her comments regarding the vaccination, is firmly sticking her ground — and rightfully so.

The mother of one plans to get back to working on her fifth album and forget about this debacle that’s taken the media by storm this week.
