Jim Carrey Is A Comedy Legend

Comedy movie stars don't get much bigger than Jim Carrey, and while many actors have found plenty of success in comedy, few actually come close to matching what Jim Carrey did during the prime years of his career.

The actor cut his teeth with smaller projects early on, and In Living Color was a huge boost for his career during the 90s. However, everything would change in 1994 when Carrey starred in The Mask, Dumb & Dumber, and Ace Venture: Pet Detective all in the same year. After three consecutive blockbuster hits, Carrey was a colossal star who was being paid a premium for his work on the big screen.

As time went on, the actor would add plenty of hit movies to his filmography, and while he did his most successful work in comedy, Carrey also showed the ability to thrive in other genres while flexing his acting range. Simply put, he did what all performers entering Hollywood hope to do.

During his incredible string of success in the 90s, Carrey starred in Liar Liar, which remains one of his most popular movies to date.
