Let's be real: adding Brad Pitt to just about any movie automatically makes it a hit. Or, at the very least, if adding Pitt to a project doesn't make it a blockbuster, it at least makes the film better.

Whether it's comedy, romance, drama, or any other genre, Brad can usually make audiences feel whatever it is they're meant to feel. That is, except for that one movie of his that was super-boring.

Anyway, he's had plenty of interesting roles over the years, even if he did try to get out of one role in particular. He is not a quitter, though, especially when it would cost him to back out of a project.

The thing is, fans noticed something weird about almost every movie of Brad's. Though some viewers may argue that Brad's not the most amazing actor ever, folks generally agree that he's good at his craft. So it's not that he wasn't doing a good job, necessarily.

It's just that in so many of Brad's movies, hits and otherwise, he's basically eating in every single one. It's not every scene by any means, but fans on Reddit shared a compilation that shows snapshots of Brad snacking in specific scenes throughout a range of films.

In upwards of 20 scenes, Brad is eating everything from sandwiches to apples to unidentifiable bowls of stuff that honestly, could be anything. And while some fans are more than happy to watch Brad snack throughout every single feature film he's in, others are more interested in uncovering the reason why this happens.

Though some fans assume that Brad eats in the movies because certain audiences find it attractive, others have more logical explanations. For one thing, one Redditor noted, eating allows for a dialogue to flow more naturally. People eating means there are natural pauses, whether for dramatic effect or for comedy.

Another possible explanation is that Brad's trying to be more casual in those snacking scenes. Eating is a pretty casual activity, after all, and it does make a character seem more relatable. After all, most fans realize that realistically speaking, not having a character eat or drink anything, or go to the bathroom for an entire show or movie, is not that authentic.

One fan also suggested that every actor has their 'quirks' on screen. For example, they suggest that Tom Hanks' trademark on camera is using the bathroom... Sean Bean's is well, dying, and George Clooney's is the way he looks down before looking someone in the eye.

Maybe Brad's true acting trademark is that he can eat in any setting, time period, or scene without making it seem unnatural or out of place. But possibly he's just super hungry all the time, so he convinced the director to let him snack on set, who knows!
