Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance and Umbrella Academy fame is a true genius. His band eventually gave birth to the comic book that became a cult hit, but once Netflix got around to making it a series, the popularity for Umbrella Academy skyrocketed. With the superhero show being renewed for a third season, there are new characters to be introduced, such as the Sparrow Academy members.

Other than Degrassi star Jake Epstein appearing in the cast and hyping fans of the Canadian TV show, one peculiar character, a cube named Christopher has got fans wondering about him. Some speculated that Gerard will provide the voice of the already fan favorite Christopher, or that he might make a cameo in the third season.

It is common to see creators of comic books, TV shows, or movie adaptations to appear in a super quick scene. The late and legendary Stan Lee is a prominent example, as he has made cameos in Marvel movies ever since 2002's Spider-Man. Not everything is set in stone, but it would be an incredible treat and Easter egg reference for Gerard to appear in some shape or form in his critically acclaimed creation. Even his band's music would be just as good of a reference.
