In an open letter, Gigi has passionately expressed that now that Khai is growing and becoming more adventurous, it's becoming challenging to conceal her identity without stifling her explorative freedom. She went on to request that the press, the paparazzi, and her fans blur Khai's face when they post images of her.

Gigi Hadid Needs A Favor
Gigi Hadid is asking the world to do her a favor and hoping they comply. She knows it's going to be irresistibly cute to post images of her growing baby, but she's asking fans, reporters, and the paparazzi to please be compassionate, considerate, and respectful when approaching, and to please blur the image before posting it.
Gigi's letter was an honest account of her very real struggle. She penned the words; " On our most recent visits to New York, she has started to want her sunshade lifted (something she is used to at home) and helps herself to it! She doesn't understand why she's covered in the city, or what I've wanted to protect her from. I also want her to see the most amazing city in the world + the beautiful and diverse people that walk down the streets of NYC ... that is, without the stress of the media circus that comes with parents who are public figures."
No child should have to be exploited for being inquisitive, and fans have Gigi's back.

Fans responded positively to her request, and feel that Gigi is doing an exemplary job in her role as a mother. They took to social media to rally around Gigi, in full support of her request.
