Porsha Williams left Real Housewives fans in shock earlier this week after multiple reports claimed she was leaving the Atlanta franchise before its 14th series begins taping in the forthcoming weeks.
Her name quickly began trending on social media, with many wondering why she would step away from RHOA when she just recently inked a deal with Bravo to front her own spin-off reality series — unless, of course, she was already guaranteed a second season.
Whatever the case, sources for Page Six are now claiming that a decision regarding whether Williams will return or not has not been made just yet.
In fact, none of the cast members from Season 13 have been told whether they’ll be back or not, so fans shouldn’t go off the rumor that Williams has already been axed from the upcoming season because it’s simply not true.
“Porsha is still in communication with the network and talks to participate in Season 14 are ongoing,” an insider shared.
“In the past, Porsha has repeatedly told her castmates that she doesn’t want to come back to the show. Even though it’s such a successful show and she’s loved by fans, she thinks she might want to explore her career beyond the show.
“She’s also worn out by Kenya [Moore] and all the drama she’s put her through.”
Williams has been earning between $500k-$750k per episode on the Atlanta franchise, and while that’s a lot of money, fans shouldn’t forget that the television personality has been very successful aside from her reality TV gigs.
The mother of one is the founder of Go Naked Hair and, as of this month, had worked as a co-host on the hit radio morning show, Dish Nation.
She’s also engaged to multi-millionaire Simon Goubadia, with whom she has been romantically involved with for just over eight months.
“There are so many opportunities for Porsha right now,” a source continued. “There’s a feeling she may have outgrown ‘Housewives’ and could very well pull a Bethenny Frankel or NeNe Leakes, where she takes time off and then comes back.”
