Ellen DeGeneres has announced her handcrafted from the god's list of celebs to appear on the farewell season of her show beginning Sept. 13th.

Ellen DeGeneres is ending her long-running daytime talk show with its 19th and final season. DeGeneres has hosted the show since 2003, meaning the show will have been on the air for nineteen years once the season finale airs.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show suffered allegations of a toxic work environment in July 2020, which led to the series ratings taking a heavy beating. DeGeneres’ show was molded around the motto, “Be Kind,” making it an uphill battle to bounce back from these accusations. However, DeGeneres shares that this is not the reason why she has ultimately decided to end the show.

Ellen DeGeneres claims that this decision is not based on the allegations of her being a “mean girl,” but due to her three-year contract ending. The Hollywood Reporter revealed, “That’s been the plan all along, Ellen stated. “And everybody kept saying, even when I signed, “You know, that’s going to be 19, don’t you want to just go to 20? It’s a good number, but so is 19,” she laughed.

During a conversation with Oprah Winfrey, DeGeneres said that walking away from the series was "the right thing to do, but I'm charged." She added, "There's just different things as a creative person that I feel like I need to do," she explained. "We still have the digital Ellen Tube, Ellen Tube is huge. We have original shows, that's going to continue. Our social media's going to continue. I still am going to be very much involved with digital."
