Jason Sudeikis has broken his silence on the split from his ex-fiancée and mother of his two children, filmmaker, and actress Olivia Wilde.

The couple announced their separation in November last year, explaining that the actual split dated back to months prior. Earlier this year, Wilde was spotted with English singer and actor Harry Styles, sparking relationship rumors that were later confirmed.

Jason Sudeikis Still Doesn’t Have Clarity On His Split From Olivia Wilde

Wilde and Sudeikis dated for nine years, a romance started at a Saturday Night Life afterparty in 2011. They have two children together, Otis and Daisy.

In a recent interview with GQ, the Ted Lasso actor explained how he really feels about the breakup.

“I'll have a better understanding of why in a year, and an even better one in two, and an even greater one in five, and it'll go from being, you know, a book of my life to becoming a chapter to a paragraph to a line to a word to a doodle,” Sudeikis said.

This quote has quickly gone viral, with fans of the Horrible Bosses actor praising him for such an insightful, measured answer.

"Jason Sudeikis has us tearing up after what he said about his split with Olivia Wilde to GQ," one fan tweeted.

"This quote from Jason Sudeikis about his breakup with Olivia is very wise and applicable to so many things in life," was another comment.

Another fan seems to be conflicted about whose team they should be on in the breakup. (Spoiler alert: there is no team.)

“Honestly this drams really keeps me up at night. I have a real love for @Harry_Styles but also like @jasonsudeikis is DADDY & funny?! UGH. How does one decide. Good for Olivia for being in this predicament,” they wrote.
