Pro dancer, Cheryl Burke, tested positive for COVID-19 after being fully vaccinated. Burke and her partner Cody Rigsby, a famous Peloton instructor, were not able to attend the live show.
What does this mean for their dancing future?
Luckily, Cheryl and Cody were able to submit a pre-recorded version of their performance during rehearsal to the judges. They danced their hearts out in the video and it is a shame their salsa wasn't able to be shared with a live audience.
The pair earned a score of 24 out of 40 from the judges making their total a 48 out of 80.

Cheryl tweeted, "Thank god for technology and camera phones! If you haven’t voted yet, text CODY to 21523 NOW before voting closes so we can come back. Thank you for all the well wishes, love, and support #boocrew!"
Cheryl announced the news in an emotional Instagram video stating, "The PCR test came back, and it came back positive," she said through tears. "I feel so bad for Cody. I feel like I'm letting him down. I just feel like s---, to be quite honest. And it's so overwhelming because it's Sunday, and the show's tomorrow. I figured I should let you guys know since I've been as open and as real and vulnerable as I could be here," she continued. "I just hope I didn't spread it. For those of you who don't think COVID is a real thing, it's f------ real, dude. So I have to quarantine for 10 days and I've been ordered to stay home … I'll be in bed. I can't believe this happened."
Luckily, these two were safe from elimination and get to dance for another week. Next week is Britney week, so there is no time to slack for these contestants!
