Little Mix is calling it quits, according to a new report.

The girl group, which recently celebrated their 10-year anniversary, is reportedly planning to announce the news to fans “next month,” The Sun claims.

And if fans are to wonder why Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards are breaking up, sources tell the publication that the trio are planning to pursue a solo career of their own.

Fans have been left stunned by the news, having taken to Twitter to share their shock about the unconfirmed report, though it does seem as if the group are ready to part ways.

Edwards and Pinnock recently became mothers while the latter is already said to have started working on music material away from Little Mix, giving clear indication she’s set for a solo career in coming months.

“There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Little Mix but it is now very clear that the end of the road has been reached,” the insider revealed.

“A date is set to announce the split. The upcoming tour is going to be a farewell to their fans.”

Little Mix was formed back in 2011 after all three girls — including former member Jesy Nelson — were put into a group before going on to win the British competition series.

Over the years, Little Mix have broken endless records and remains one of the best-selling girl groups in the UK with hits including “Sweet Melody,” “Black Magic,” and “Shout Out To My Ex,” which sold over 2 million copies worldwide.

Their recently released single “Cut You Off” apparently took aim at Nelson’s abrupt departure in December 2020.

In the song, Thirlwall sings, “I know you think you’re all that, it’ll be so sweet when you crawl back, but it’s too late now.”

Edwards then continues, “Someone tell me how, how did we get here? It used to be so good. Nothing lasts forever, but I really thought we could.

“I know there’ll be tears, but it’s worth a broken heart. If I can’t protect my energy, I gotta cut you off.”

It’s further mentioned that while the band is definitely planning a hiatus — during which time they’ll launch their solo careers — a potential comeback down the line hasn’t been ruled out yet.

But, to be fair, once a band splits to pursue a solo music career, it’s very rare to see them get back together.

A farewell tour is slated for 2022.
