Very few moviegoers would say that Brad Pitt is not a good actor. But just like any other Hollywood talent, he's had films that were arguably not the best.

Whether the movies flopped overall or Brad's part was just lackluster, there are a few less-than-hits on his resume. In fact, one film lost over $100 million in an epic fail.

But fans say there's one critically acclaimed film that was downright awesome... Except for Brad's part in it. This is why fans say Brad didn't deserve the Oscar nomination he received for at least one movie role.

Fans Say Brad Pitt Missed The Mark In 'Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood'

The film 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood' received rave reviews all-around. And Redditors agree that Quentin Tarantino did a "masterful job" of recreating LA in the 1960s. But the true highlight of the film for most wasn't Brad Pitt.

One Redditor also pointed out that Brad "joked about the role not being a challenge to play," given that he had scenes where, for example, all he had to do was stand somewhere with his shirt off.

To be fair, the film did center on the character of Rick Dalton (and who can take their eyes off Leonardo DiCaprio's performance?), making Cliff Booth a bit of an afterthought. Some fans do defend Brad's role, pointing out that "the crux of the movie" is Cliff, because Rick wouldn't have been able to carry the movie on his own.

Brad Pitt Didn't Deserve An Oscar Nomination

Overall, more than 60 percent of those with a vote on the matter seem to agree that Brad shouldn't have received an Oscar nod for 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood.'

As the primary critic of the film (and Oscar nom) noted, "[Brad] was just playing a tough guy for the majority of the movie." While Leonardo DiCaprio's character had more nuance to him, including one impressively improvised scene that even the seasoned actor was nervous about, Brad did quite a bit of standing around.

Despite that, the movie earned a total of ten Oscar nominations, 12 Critics' Choice Awards nominations, five Golden Globe nods, and nominations for the two main cast members at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Of course, no actor can be perfect in every role, and not every viewer is going to think their performance is jaw-dropping, even in critically acclaimed films.

But for the most part, fans forgive Brad for some of his less engaging roles; the critic who couldn't understand the Oscar nomination did admit that Brad was "great" in 'Se7en,' and countless other films, too.
