Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's advice to their little sister Elizabeth Olsen has been describes as "disturbing" and "troubling" by fans.

Elizabeth, 32, shared her big sisters words of wisdom in January during an interview for the show Off Camera With Sam Jones.

"Something my sisters always say - which might have come from my father at one point, my dad, I don't know - it's that: 'No, is a full sentence,'" the WandaVision actress explained.

"And I really like that, especially as a woman," she added. "Saying that 'you can just say no and I just really like that in all aspects of life.'"

Mary-Kate and Ashley's entertainment careers began when they were just six months old. The twins were cast on the first season of family sitcom Full House which began in 1987.

The show ran until 1995 with the Olsen twins staying on until the conclusion of the series when they were eight-years-old. As the late 1990s rolled into the early 2000s they became teen idols with popular straight to video movies and Nickelodeon show Two Of A Kind.

Back in 2007, Forbes estimated their joint net worth at $100 million.

But despite their huge success, rumors have swirled as to why they turned their back on Hollywood and went into fashion design.

"Their advice is quite telling," one fan wrote online. "Hope nobody damaged them when they were young," one fan wrote online.

"There are rumours of what happened when they were young. But clearly they have kept a good head on their shoulders," a second added.

"Their advice is quite disturbing. They both always look haunted or something," a third chimed in.

Last month, a 2004 Oprah Winfrey interview with the former twin actresses resurfaced.

The chat show queen, now 67, asks if the Passport To Paris stars had an eating disorder.

"I know a new rumor [that's] recently surfaced has really upset you, right?" the billionaire probes.

The girls wait for the rest of the question before making a comment, after which Oprah adds: "You know, the one about eating."

Ashley steps in immediately, replying: "Yeah, you know people are going to write what they're going to write. We try not to read the good or the bad because it just comes with the territory."

"Either you're too fat, too skinny and people are just gonna write what they..."

Oprah then cuts in and pointedly asks: "What size are you, by the way?"

Ashley appears particularly taken aback by the question and simply replies: "Size?"

Mary-Kate chimes in at this point, explaining they have always been "petite."

At which Oprah replies sarcastically: "Oh, that's so interesting!"

Later that year, Mary-Kate sadly checked into rehab to seek treatment. It later transpired to be a battle with anorexia.
