Fondly remembered for his time on the original Saved By The Bell Series, Dustin played the role of Samuel 'Screech' Powers, the nerdy yet lovable Bayside student that journeyed through adolescence alongside his peers.
He rose to international fame with his success on the show, and will forever be remembered as Screech to fans of all ages.
It was just one month ago that Dustin Diamond announced he was admitted to hospital for extreme body pain, and stated that he felt extremely unwell. It was soon revealed that he was battling stage 4 small cell carcinoma - an aggressive form of lung cancer. It didn't take long to determine that his diagnosis was a serious one.
His first round of chemotherapy had just concluded a couple of weeks ago, but sadly, it doesn't appear that his diagnosis was caught in time for him to be able to recover.
TMZ reports that Dustin's girlfriend was with him at the time of his death, on Monday, February 1st, 2021. The report also indicates that "he did not suffer."
