Joe Rogan has taken aim at “woke culture,” implying it will be the end of straight, white men.
On an episode of his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan spoke to stand-up comedian Joe List about the comedy world. Rogan said one can never be “woke” enough and that “cancel culture” will result in straight, white men being silenced.

Rogan explained his views to List, implying that cancel culture will come for all straight, white men's freedom of speech.
“You can never be ‘woke’ enough, that’s the problem,” Rogan said on his podcast.
“It keeps going. It keeps going further and further and further down the line, and if you get to the point where you capitulate, where you agree to all these demands, it’ll eventually get to straight white men are not allowed to talk. Because it’s your privilege to express yourself when other people of color have been silenced throughout history,” he continued.
“We just gotta be nice to each other, man. And there’s a lot of people that are taking advantage of this weirdness in our culture, and then that becomes their thing. Their thing is calling people out for their privilege, calling people out for their position. You know, so, it’s f*cking crazy times,” he then added.
List tried to explain that the majority of people seem to think that being considerate of marginalized groups and acknowledging one’s privilege is necessary.
“But I feel like I hear more people speaking out against that kind of stuff than I hear from people saying that’s a good idea’, List said, prompting Rogan to claim that this attitude was primarily in their “circles”.
Twitter Slams Rogan For Claiming Woke Culture Will Silence Straight, White Men
Some Twitter users debunked Rogan’s claims by simply pointing out that he, a straight, white man, has a huge platform: a podcast that is among the most popular on Spotify and was acquired by the streaming service for $100million.
“Joe Rogan says "straight white men are not allowed to talk" eventually while complaining on his podcast paid for by a $100,000,000 Spotify contract,” one tweet reads.
“someone pay me as much as joe rogan to shut the f**k up. i will do it. i promise,” another user commented.
“Guys like Joe Rogan not being allowed to talk sounds like a win for humanity in general,” someone else pointed out.
“Joe Rogan says that if the Woke Mob wins, straight white men won't be allowed to talk. Straight white men – victims since… [checks every history book] absolutely never,” another comment reads.
