Brie Larson has blessed fans with a new Instagram post — and she looks like a character straight out of WandaVision.

The Captain Marvel star posted a short clip and a picture to her grid, adding the caption “Who is she?”.

In the new image, the MCU actress sports a retro hairstyle, with her blonde locks styled in 1950-inspired waves. The actress also rocks red lips and a gray cardigan as she smiles at the camera.

Brie Larson Fans Think She Looks Like A ‘WandaVision’ Character In New Picture

Fans are loving Larson’s new look, implying that the actress looks like a perfect addition to WandaVision.

The critically acclaimed Marvel series sees Elizabeth Olsen’s character Wanda Maximoff trapped in the town of Westview with Vision, played by Paul Bettany.

A love letter to television, the series opens with the couple seemingly stuck in a 1950s sitcom. In the first episode, Wanda dons a very similar hairstyle to the one rocked by Larson in her new Instagram post.

“If captain marvel was in wandavision,” one fan commented, adding a heart eyes emoji for good measure.

“I thought the same thing,” a second user chimed in.

"omg! I was just thinking that,” a third fan confirmed.

“yeah it's like a 50's aesthetic,” was another comment praising Larson’s new look.

It isn’t clear whether Larson’s new look is connected to a role in a new project, but it surely isn’t a Captain Marvel and WandaVision crossover, sadly. Unlike Marvel’s latest show Loki, the limited series about Scarlet Witch, in fact, won’t have a second season.

Brie Larson Will Return As Captain Marvel In 2022

However, Larson will reprise the role of Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel in a new movie. Directed by Nic DaCosta, The Marvels will star Larson as well as a face that WandaVision fans will recognize.

Teyonah Parris will return as Monica Rambeau (yes, the daughter of Carol’s friend, Maria Rambeau) in the upcoming film, also starring Iman Vellani as Kamala Kahn aka Ms. Marvel.

Earlier in the year, Larson opened up on the pressure of playing the Marvel superhero.

The Oscar-winning actress revealed that she struggled with her own image following the Captain Marvel press tour in 2019.

“I was starting to feel like my own image of myself was oppressive,” Larson told The New York Times.

“There’s something very different about being shown to the world as a superhero,” she continued, explaining that playing Carol Danvers on screen came with pressure “to uphold a certain image.”

The Marvels will be released in the US on November 11, 2022
