Some fans were already rethinking their judgment of Owen Wilson as a dad based on some troubling details from his past. But others think they figured out why Owen purposely doesn't pursue a relationship with his toddler daughter Lyla.

Fans Think Owen Wilson Didn't Want More Kids

In interviews, Owen talks about his two sons, Ford and Finn (who have different moms) in very positive ways. He has discussed parenting them, the way they don't laugh at his dad jokes, and how they interact together.

Clearly, Wilson is an active father in his sons' lives. Although, fans weren't very impressed with his talk of being a 'single' dad. Still, not everyone hates on Owen Wilson for not having the same bond with his daughter as he does with his sons.

But what if there was a solid reason why Owen refuses to see the daughter who has been proven to share his DNA?

Owen Wilson's Ex Shaded Him For Not Seeing Their Daughter

There are plenty of people who really dislike Owen Wilson simply because he has publicly admitted to the paternity of his daughter Lyla, yet, according to her mom, has never met the little girl.

Varunie Vongsvirates has given a few statements about Owen over the years. She also threw shade at him in one Instagram post where she criticized the fact that he was in a film called 'Father Figures' yet couldn't be a real dad, only act like one.

But fans think there's a simple reason why Owen won't publicly respond to Varunie's pleading that he get involved with the little girl: he didn't want another child.

Fans Think Owen Told Varunie He Didn't Want More Kids

Despite Varunie's various public statements about Owen, and the fact that he reportedly pays a massive amount of money in child support for Lyla, Wilson seems totally uninterested in the little girl.

Sources even say that when he last went to court, Wilson 'checked a box' to say he had no, and did not want any, visitation with the toddler. Commenters on the news reports pointed out that maybe Owen straight up told Varunie he didn't want more kids, and she didn't listen to him.

By all accounts, the former couple were 'off and on' and dated "casually" for around five years. Fans began wondering whether their breakup didn't have something to do with Varunie wanting a baby (and more of a commitment), and Owen feeling the complete opposite.

Fans Theorize That Varunie Got Pregnant On Purpose

Some fans think that Varunie purposely got pregnant with Lyla to try and pressure Owen into marrying her, or, at the very least, hoping that he would become a super-enthusiastic and engaged dad once she arrived.

One fan wrote quizzically, "5 years, no engagement, no promise to marry?" Plus, Varunie clearly knew Owen had two other children he was already co-parenting with two other exes. So, the fan noted, what if "he told her he didn’t want a child and she figured she’d change his mind by getting knocked up and get the ring she’d been hoping for?"

It sounds like a bit of a jump, right? But other commenters guessed the same, with some suggesting that "women think they can change" men who say they don't want any kids or more kids if they already have them.

Another fan agreed by saying that it was probably clear Owen Wilson didn't want more children while he was with Varunie and that the lack of desire to have more kids is "not something that can be mistaken unless you choose to miss the signs, really."

Some Say Women Want Kids With Owen Wilson For Fame

Speaking about some women in general, a fan admitted they were biased but that many women think they'll get something out of having kids with a famous (or at the very least, rich) man. Further, they noted, "I agree, this is public shaming- she tried to trap him for the fame."

Another commenter -- who claimed to not be a fan of Owen, calling him "trash" -- stated, "Girl, just be glad you got your come up, because that’s clearly why you had that baby."

Not everyone thinks that Owen Wilson is in the right to ignore his 'baby mama' and only do what is required of him by law (and that is, pay child support). But plenty of commenters, whether they claim to be fans of Owen Wilson or not, agree that if he didn't want another child, it's not necessarily his responsibility to bend to his ex's wishes.

As for his biological daughter, all the comments about her reflected high hopes that she would be successful and happy in life, and not feel abandoned because of how her father handled himself.
