New pictures from the set of Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon have started circulating online, with fans trolling Leonardo DiCaprio for his puzzled look in one of them.
Earlier this year, the first official images of the Shutter Island actor in the role of Ernest Burkhart hit social media, with one media outlet branding him “unrecognizable” when he looked, in fact, very much like his usual self.
The misleading headline prompted social media users to post their own DiCaprio-inspired memes. The joke continued after new pictures on set became available today (June 2).

Pictures of DiCaprio and Scorsese on set in Pawhuska, Oklahoma have been released.
In one of them, DiCaprio sports a full cowboy attire and is pictured looking puzzled, seemingly at a horse in front of him.
“By the look of his face, he just saw a 26-year-old model and was wondering what a geriatric woman was doing on set,” one fan commented on Instagram, throwing shade at the actor’s relationship timeline.
DiCaprio is known for having had multiple relationship with younger models, including Camilla Morrone and Bar Refaeli, who were both 20 when they started dating the actor.

A first-look image of DiCaprio in Killers of the Flower Moon was first released in May this year.
Whereas DiCaprio has gifted audiences with some pretty transformative performances, Killers of the Flower Moon doesn’t seem to be one of those. The actor’s blonde hair is parted in the middle and that is about all that’s different from his usual self.
Transformative performances involve at the very least a different hair color or prosthetic makeup, but neither is apparent in the picture of DiCaprio sitting next to his co-star Lily Gladstone, who plays his wife in the movie. The image, however, allowed users to crack jokes about DiCaprio and his dating preferences.
“Is it because the photo shows him next to a woman over 30?” one Twitter user wrote at the time.
“Leonardo DiCaprio unrecognizable on the arm of a woman born before 2001,” was another comment.
