The X-Factor U.K. has been running for 15 entertaining seasons and has spanned across 17 years, but the days are numbered, and it has just been revealed that the show will not see season 16.

The news is stating facts - Simon Cowell has just been dropped, and the news is making the headlines across the globe. The failing show has been seeing a huge drop in ratings for some time now, and at first, it seemed it could be revived, but after many unsuccessful attempts, it seems viewership is just not what it used to be. Thankfully, Cowell has other projects in the works and doesn't rely solely on this.

The once highly acclaimed show has face planted, and Simon Cowell, the man behind the series is being dragged by fans on social media.

Goodbye, X-Factor

Millions of fans have tuned in to the X Factor over the past several years, and X-Factor U.K. has been a wild hit. Some of the most incredible talents have graced the stage, and fans often sat in awe and wonder over the raw talent and sheer determination of the contestants that made their way to showcase their artistic skills on this platform.

While other X-Factors will continue to evolve, the U.K.-based series is coming to a grinding halt, and Simon Cowell has to officially put that chapter to a close.

It seems the timing of the cancellation of the series is bang-on, as very few fans took to social media to contest or mourn this news. Quite the contrary, it seems the show has run its course right to the dwindling end, and fans are content to say goodbye.

Before they go, though, they're dragging the show and taking Simon Cowell along for the final ride.

Fans Drag Simon Cowell

Fans are over the show and aren't really mourning the loss of X Factor U.K.  In fact, the dragging is a good indication that if the show didn't bow out, it would likely not have seen great ratings, anyway.

Fans are dragging the series as well as Simon Cowell with comments such as; "Simon is a bore. He's so negative and not interesting anyway," and "that's honestly good, I'm so over Simon's miserable face."

Others have written in to say; "nobody was watching anyway, who cares," and "lol that show is still on?"

Fans didn't waste any time knocking Cowell by saying; "He needs to stop, he thinks he's too much," and "Simon is over and done. Move over."
