Is Britney Spears hinting at the possibility of releasing new music?

The songstress took to Instagram recently to share a vintage video of her singing, and not only did it overcome fans with nostalgia, but it got them excited about a hit song possibly soon.

The 39-year-old pop star shared that her mother sent her the old video, showing Spears singing a cover of The Jets song "You Got It All," which was also featured in a limited edition of her sophomore album Oops... I Did it Again.

Spears writes, "Geez... My mom sent this to me and reminded me that I can sing. She said, 'You never sing anymore... you need to again!!!'"

After Spears uploaded the video, fans quickly took to her comment section to tell the star how much they missed Spears' singing and how she will forever be an icon.

"One of the most iconic voices in music TBH," Tim Chan wrote.

"You can sing! Anyone that really loves you would never try and silence your voice on ANY level! That includes your family! Remember that!" Tracy Anderson shared.

"Don't forget you are a POP ICON of our generation! Never forget Queen!" Michael Ngo said.

According to Yahoo, rumors have been swirling that Spears will be doing a similar tell-all interview to the one Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently did with Oprah Winfrey.

"Britney has considered speaking out about her past, mostly because she doesn't feel others should tell her story," an anonymous source claimed.

Still, fans are hoping that even if the video wasn't actually a hint, it will inspire Spears to sing once again. The singer has been sharing videos of herself dancing on Instagram for quite some time, but this is the first time she has reminded her fans that she is just as talented when it comes to singing.
