DaBaby is the most recent star to cause controversy for his homophobic comments and tasteless commentary during his performance at Rolling Loud. The American rapper came under fire for his anti-LGBTQ commentary, and during what was meant to be his online apology, defended his behavior instead of apologizing for what he had said.

His former fans have rendered his apology "pathetic" and "useless". Apart from being publicly homophobic, DaBaby has a history of violence and had previously struck a female fan at his show in March last year.

Despite his exceedingly problematic behavior, the rapper somehow scored a collaboration with Dua Lipa on the remix of her hit-song Levitating a few months later. Dua's fans are presently furious at DaBaby and they're calling out for the English singer to get rid of the remix version. They want her to re-record her song with LGBTQ icon and singer-rapper Lil Nas X instead.

Dua Lipa To Re-Record Levitating?

The singer-and-future-actor has spoken out against DaBaby via her Instagram stories.

"I'm surprised and horrified at DaBaby's comments. I really don't recognize this as the person I worked with," the pop star said wrote in her statement.

"I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS," she continued.

While most fans wanted the remix version of the song to be removed, @mattxiv suggested an even better idea: for Dua Lipa to record the remix once again, and replace DaBaby with Lil Nas X instead!

"can we get dua lipa to re-record the levitating remix with @lilnasx instead bc dababy is a homophobe," they wrote in the tweet.

"That sounds like a good idea," a fan agreed.

"Dua Lipa and Lil Nas X would be ICONIC!" said another.

"We need to make this happen, music gods pls make it happen," a user added.

Apart from writing and recording music, Dua will also be starring in a movie. She has been cast alongside Henry Cavill for director Matthew Vaughn's big-budgeted spy-thriller film Argylle. It's Lipa's first movie role, and fans are excited to see her take on a different project and act with the Man of Steel star.
