Cats Create Magazine About Cats For Other Cats

The world’s first magazine for cats, by cats, is coming on Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas to all our literate feline friends! We have some fantastic news for you: a brand new fashion magazine is coming soon specifically made for those of the clawed and furry variety. We’re talking a fashion and lifestyle magazine made for cats, but also made by cats.

Obviously this sounds insane: cats don’t even have opposable thumbs! But we assure you, this is no joke. The editor in chief, Clawdia Beauchat, a felentrepeneur of the highest order, introduced us personally to "the only fashion magazine by cats, for cats, to give voice to the underrepresented feline population in print and digital media."

The magazine is simply titled “Feline”, and it will feature interviews with impressive cats, opinions provided by kitty kind, and fashion dos and don’ts from Feline staff.

That staff apparently includes three humans who help out with the whole opposable thumb issue.

"We have always thought when we invited humans to care for us that it was our divine burden: to be served by a species that will never understand us, a species that can worship us and yet will never truly fulfill our needs as they so yearn to,” writes Clawdia in her press release.

“But what if we are not bound to this fate? What if there was a way to bring an end to this suffering? To resolve the most monumental source of conflict in modern history?"

It’s a good question, especially considering that literacy rates among cats rival that of 11th century Europe. Be that as it may, Feline will offer cats articles on how to maintain their fur, how best to prepare cat food, and what their hairballs might be saying about their intestinal health.

And maybe there will be the occasional article that tries to help explain human behavior. You know, light bathroom reading. For cats.

A single issue will cost $16.99, while a print subscription brings each issue’s cost down to $13.99 (with a minimum of 2 issues purchased). A digital subscription is also available with each issue costing just $7.99.

And for a limited time, you can use promo code CLAWDIA3 to get $3 off your order.

The first issue arrives on Christmas Day and will feature an interview with the first cat to finally catch that dancing red dot that all felines find so fascinating. We haven’t the heart to tell him it’s a laser pointer.
