Gaga, who debuted back in 2008 with her album "The Fame", found herself in the number one spot faster than anyone could have anticipated. Blue Hair, Don't Care

Lady Gaga is known to be able to carry a tune or two, however, when the artist first started out, her costumes were all anyone could talk about. Whether it was the meat dress, arriving at the Grammy's in an egg or heels and hair as big as you can imagine, Gaga has done it all. While she has certainly covered all of her fashion ground, there is one costume choice Gaga went with that had a few people really confused.

In 2011, Lady Gaga performed her hit song, "Hair", at the MuchMusic Awards in Toronto, Canada. Fans were instantly obsessed with the "Born This Way" singers turquoise wig, however, upon second glance, the audience and viewers at home were able to spot Gaga's fake blue armpit hair to match. The singer wore fake turquoise hair under her arms and on her pants, but this was no trend, it was a statement.

Although Lady Gaga has certainly explored her fashion choices for dramatic effect, her turquoise underarms were totally on purpose. The singer went ahead and opted for armpit hair as part of a movement breaking boundaries that allow women to go completely au naturel if they please! Gaga also isn't the only one who has taken part in the movement. Former Disney star and pop singer, Miley Cyrus, has also gotten on board for the same reason.

Miley has also been a major figure in fighting against beauty constraints and standards put onto women, particularly in the entertainment industry. The public had many questions surrounding the movement, however, neither Lady Gaga nor Miley Cyrus cares about what anyone thinks! If there is one thing that some of our fav pop stars continue to prove, is that they are not to be toyed with, and rightfully so!
