Also, legal, financial, and personal problems can add age to an athlete’s life. Since retiring from the business, many wrestlers have changed in terms of their appearance. 20 Missy Hyatt

Missy Hyatt is considered one of wrestling’s most popular valets. She briefly worked for WWE, but she’s mostly remembered for her time in WCW and ECW. She was the manager for numerous wrestlers including Eddie Gilbert and The Steiner Brothers. It’s been over 20 years since Missy left the wrestling business, and these days she looks quite different from her time as a valet.

19 Marc Mero

From 1996 to 1999, Marc Mero wrestled for WWE. While he was a good wrestler, his career was overshadowed by his wife Sable, who became a breakout star. The couple left WWE in 1999 and divorced four years later. After retiring from wrestling, Mero started a new look along with a new career as a motivational speaker.

18 Virgil

Longtime WWE fans remember Virgil from his days as a bodyguard for The Million Dollar Man. Yet, after their partnership ended, Virgil’s wrestling career seemed to go downhill. These days Virgil is often seen at wrestling conventions, where hardly any fans line up for his autograph. After photos surfaced of the empty lines at his table, he’s become known as Lonely Virgil.

17 Dawn Marie

Wrestler and valet Dawn Marie is remembered by fans for her work in ECW and WWE. Her most memorable feud was with Torrie Wilson. After leaving the wrestling industry in 2005, she continued to make appearances at autograph signings. But these days Dawn Marie is busy being a mom to two children and working as a nurse.

16 Maven

Maven Huffman made WWE history when he became the first winner of the reality show Tough Enough. Huffman was on track to have a successful career, and one of his most memorable feuds was against The Undertaker. But after three years, his WWE career came to an end. A string of health and legal problems plagued the star after his wrestling career, but he’s gotten better.

15 Essa Rios

During Essa Rios’ career in WWE, he was mostly known for his association with Lita. While Lita would go on to have a successful career in WWE, Essa’s would be short-lived. Rios would go on to wrestle for promotions such as AAA and CMLL, where he won a slew of championships. Recently, he and Lita reunited when they meet at an autograph session.

Ric Flair had a reputation for being a hard-partying guy. That was the moniker and real-life persona of the 16-time World Champion. But Ric’s lifestyle soon caught up to him as the star’s suffered through legal, financial, and health problems. Ric’s recent troubles have overshadowed his wrestling accomplishments, although it seems The Nature Boy has finally cleaned up his act.

13 X-Pac

X-Pac rose to fame in WWE as a member of D-Generation X. After his departure from WWE in 2002, X-Pac’s personal life came into focus. He had a tumultuous relationship with his ex-girlfriend and former wrestler Chyna. He also suffered numerous legal and health problems, which made the news. These days X-Pac is healthy and has started a new career as a podcaster.

Throughout Raven’s 20-year career he’s wrestled for all the major promotions, including WWE. These days Raven looks different from what he did earlier in his career. The wrestler suffers from Type 2 diabetes along with other health issues. While Raven’s glory days as a wrestler are behind him, he’s still remembered by fans for hardcore wrestling.

11 The Sandman

No wrestler was more hardcore than The Sandman. When he showed up with his kendo stick, fans knew trouble was about to go down. For over 30 years, The Sandman has entertained crowds. Even though the star is in his 50s, he continues to wrestle. His most recent appearance was for Major League Wrestling in February 2019.

10 Perry Saturn

Perry Saturn made his debut in WWE alongside Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, and Dean Malenko in a group called The Radicalz. But after the group disbanded, Saturn’s career took a turn for the worse. After being released from WWE, Saturn made a few indie appearances but mostly kept away from the spotlight. When he did re-emerge, Saturn sported a new appearance, which included a facial tattoo.

9 Jazz

Two-time Women’s Champion Jazz was one of the top stars during the Golden Era of women’s wrestling. Yet, her time in WWE would be short-lived due to a lack of creative direction for her character. Jazz continues to wrestle for indie promotions such as WSU and NWA. She also recently participated in a battle royale at AEW’s All Out PPV in August 2019.

8 Scotty 2 Hotty

Scotty 2 Hotty made his WWE debut in 1998 alongside his tag partner Grandmaster Sexay as the duo known as Too Cool. The group would later add Rikishi into their stable, and they became known for their dance routines after a match. After retiring from wrestling, he worked as a firefighter and even accepted a job as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center.

7 Marty Jannetty

Marty Jannetty rose to fame when he and Shawn Michaels formed the tag team The Rockers. After the duo’s split, Michaels went on to have a show-stopping wrestling career, while Jannetty struggled to find success. Since leaving WWE, Jannetty has wrestled for a few independent promotions. These days Jannetty seems more known for his personal problems than his wrestling career.

Alundra Blayze is a pioneer in women’s wrestling. One of her most famous moments came on an episode of WCW when she dumped the WWE Women’s Championship into a trash can. Blayze is considered a tough competitor and her tattooed physique proves it. These days when Blayze isn’t fighting inside the ring, she’s busy driving monster trucks, her other passion.

1 Sunny

Known as the original Diva, Sunny was a manager for numerous tag teams during her 3-year WWE career. However, these days Sunny is known more for her personal struggles. In recent years, she’s had a string of legal problems that saw her serve time and make courtroom appearances. The stress of the legal issues has Sunny looking very different from her WWE days.
