#FreeBritney Spears supporters are worried after it emerged the pop star is reportedly considering a "tell-all" interview with Oprah.

The "Sometimes" singer has become a trending topic in recent weeks after the New York Times–produced documentary, Framing Britney Spears.

Sources told Entertainment Tonight the former pop princess is "grateful" for the support in her ongoing legal conservatorship. It is currently helmed by her father, Jamie Spears, something Britney is fighting against.

"Britney has considered speaking out about her past, mostly because she doesn't feel others should tell her story," a source told ET.

"She's always hated doing interviews but if she ever takes that step, Oprah would most likely be her first choice. At this point, there is no plan in the works for her to do an interview but when she does, there will be steps Britney would need to take before speaking out."

Framing Britney Spears, explores the dark side of the 39-year-old singer's fame. From her rise as a small town Southern girl, to her pop princess world domination.

Viewers then see the Grammy winner's downfall. We follow the singer's heartbreaking 2007 breakdown and her father Jamie's controversial 13-year conservatorship.

The documentary also shone a light on the #FreeBritney movement.

But some fans are claiming the interview would just be another form of manipulating the star.

"I'm wondering if she's able to do that and tell the truth with her dad controlling her. I wouldn't be surprised if this turned into a money maker for him," one fan wrote.

"If she's ready to talk, I'm ready to listen. But it needs to be on her terms," a second added.

"Making Free Britney docs is the new way for the media to make money off her. But her conservatorship will never sign off on an honest interview and they'd say final say. Or else she could just tell her story on an IG Live," a third chimed in.
