The extended trailer for the Friends reunion special episode has finally been released on May 19 and has addressed one of the show’s most pressing questions.

Set to debut on HBO Max on May 27, “The One Where They Got Back Together” will see the original six Friends — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer — return for a one-hour special. They will be joined by a number of special guests, including new and old faces.

In the clip, the six actors are asked by James Corden to weigh in on that Ross and Rachel break drama — and Matt LeBlanc just gave the most unexpected answer.

‘Friends’ Reunion Settles Ross And Rachel Break Drama

Fans of the show will recall the drama originated in the fifteenth episode of season three, titled, quite apropos, “The One Where Ross And Rachel Take A Break”.

The couple decide to take a break after going through a rough patch because of Ross’s inability to adapt to Rachel’s new job hectic schedule. When she suggests the couple take a break, Ross leaves and ends up spending the night with Chloe, assuming that Rachel is in love with her co-worker Mark. Rachel finds out the next morning, after going to Ross’s place to patch things up.

"We were on a break!” has become one of Ross’s common lines throughout the show, with Rachel insisting that they were not, in fact, on a break.

In the trailer, Corden asks the six Friends their stand on the whole break situation.

“Were Ross and Rachel on a break?” The English host asks the actors.

After the entire main cast (including Aniston!) agree that Ross didn’t do anything wrong when he slept with Chloe, given that he and Rachel were not together at that point, LeBlanc surprises everyone with a blunt remark.

“Bulls**t,” he says, before proceeding to sip his coffee dramatically.

Friends Reunion: Main Cast Will Appear As Themselves

The six actors will not reprise their original roles in the special, which is an unscripted, hour-long event. The cast will appear as themselves on the beloved Stage 24 where all ten seasons of the show were filmed between 1994 and 2004.

Alongside the six Friends, the reunion will see celebrities of the likes of Justin Bieber, Cara Delevingne, and David Beckham step into Monica’s apartment.

South Korean band BTS will also appear, together with Lady Gaga, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Mindy Kaling, Malala Yousafzai, and Game of Thrones star Kit Harington.

A few familiar faces will make their comeback, too. Tom Selleck, who played Monica’s boyfriend Richard, as well as Maggie Wheeler, famous for portraying Chandler’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Janice, will star.
