Before he became Jon Snow, Kit Harington wasn't very well-known in Hollywood. While he's a seasoned actor at this point, 'GoT' was really a breakout role for him. At the same time, acting on 'Game of Thrones' meant that long after the show ended, he'd be recognized as Jon Snow before mention of any other character on his resume.

To be fair, Kit made a decent income from the show, so he can't exactly complain about that part. Plus, Kit and his now-wife Rose Leslie met on set, so surely, there's no way he regrets being on 'GoT'... Right?

While Jon Snow was a fan favorite throughout 'GoT,' that meant a lot of pressure on Kit, he admitted after the show ended. In fact, right before the finale aired (after filming wrapped), USA Today reported that Kit had checked into a wellness facility.

The luxury facility is a "wellness retreat" according to Kit's rep, but sources say Harington went there for "stress and alcohol use." Either way, rest and relaxation was in the cards for Kit, and it wasn't exactly a spa adventure for the actor.

As the costume designer who worked on 'Game of Thrones' pointed out, Kit had worked on the show a long time; the series took up eight years of the actor's life. And as Page Six elaborated, Kit had a hard time letting go, so stepping out of the spotlight and into a "retreat" sounds like just the ticket. Of course, the actor's challenges started even before the finale.

Kit's fame began to grow after Jon Snow came back from the dead, says Page Six, and that coincided with some tough times in Kit's personal life. In past interviews, he admitted that back then, in his 20s, having so much of the hit show focus on his character was a lot of pressure.

In fact, that's when Kit began seeking therapy. But after that final table read, documented in 'The Last Watch,' Kit clearly felt overwhelmed and overcome with emotion. He also noted that after filming the series-capping scenes, he had a "full-on breakdown."

Shedding his costume felt like being "skinned," and it was perhaps the "unceremonious" nature of the disrobing that made Harington feel even more bereft. Luckily for Kit, he does have the support of his former on-screen flame and current wife Rose Leslie.

Even if the cast loses touch now that they're not on set together, Kit does have Rose to reminisce with about the time they were on a globally famous TV series. The two are protective of their private life, of course, but fans haven't forgotten about Kit Harington just yet.
