Game Of Thrones Monopoly Will Be Released In 2019

Game of Thrones fans have a lot to look forward to next year.

The hit HBO show will return for its eighth and final season in April, although a specific date has not yet revealed. When Game of Thrones hits the airwaves again, it will have been almost two years since fans watched a new episode. If that isn't enough to get the biggest GOT fan excited, a new version of the monopoly game based on the show is slated to hit shelves at the beginning of next year.

Hasbro and HBO joined forces to create another special edition of the classic board game inspired by the award-winning TV show. Monopoly: Game of Thrones will have some fantastic features fans are going to love including, infused graphics, specific tokens, and unique properties. Honorary sigils of the Great Houses inspired the tokens used in the game.

Another new addition to this version of the game is the Iron Throne card holder that will play the show's theme song throughout the entire game. It is the first time in any Monopoly edition that music has been incorporated.

Players are in pursuit to rule the Iron Throne. Each participant will make their way around the board to buy, sell and trade locations from the Seven Kingdoms. They can also purchase castles and holdfasts for their various properties.

The all-new Game of Thrones edition of Monopoly will go on sale in January 2019, which is great for fans who are in serious need of a GOT fix as they await the final season. If you were thinking this would make a great holiday gift, don't fret Walmart, GameStop, and Amazon are currently accepting pre-orders for the game for only $29.99.

This is not the first time GOT has been part of a unique edition Monopoly game. Game of Thrones: Collector's Editon of Monopoly was released in 205. Dr. Who, Family Guy, The Golden Girls, Seinfeld, The Simpsons, and Star Trek: The Next Generation are just a few TV shows that have also been part of the iconic board game family.
