Game Of Thrones Star Denies Emilia Clarke's "Coffee Cup Mystery" Accusation

Game of Thrones may have ended back in May, but the coffee cup mystery deepens.

Conleth Hill rejected Emilia Clarke's accusation that the man who played Varys on the hit HBO series was the culprit behind the Starbucks coffee cup that was left on a table in Episode 3, Season 8.

He told Channel 4 news on Sunday that there's "no proof that I did."

In the episode "Game of Thrones," which cost roughly $15 million to produce, the cup can be seen on the table in front of Daenerys Targaryen, played by British actress Emilia Clarke.

2 Emilia Told Jimmy Fallon That Hill Had Confessed

Appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Clarke told the late night TV host that Hill had confessed.

"We had a party before the Emmys recently and Conleth, who plays Varys, who's sitting next to me in that scene, he pulls me aside and he's like, 'Emilia, I have got to tell you something, love. The coffee cup was mine.'"

1 Others Blamed Jon Snow

This is not the first time the blame game has reared its ugly head. Sansa Stark, played by Sophie Turner, told Conan O'Brien in an interview that the cup belonged to none other than Kit Harington.

She told O'Brien that Harrington, who played Jon Snow, exhibited the kind of lazy behavior throughout the show's run and was convinced he was the culprit.
