Supermodel and super mom Gigi Hadid made heads turn at the New York Fashion Week as she strutted the runway for Moschino’s eccentric baby-themed fashion line. It was the Italian fashion house’s NYFW debut, but Internet users are barely impressed after observing that the fashion line resembled “baby bedding”.
Gigi Hadid was glowing as always, and wore her hair in an elegant top bun while she sported a wacky cartoon print one-sleeved dress with a massive elephant’s trunk on the shoulder. For the big finale, Hadid even toted on a baby bottle, pretending to drink from it while posing and twirling her way through it all.
Fans Aren’t Impressed
The model’s kitschy looks haven’t been very well-received by fans who are horrified by the baby-themed fashion line. Other models who walked for the brand include Irina Shayk, Winnie Harlow and Taylor Hill, all of whom wore outfits covered in 3-D giraffes, squirrels and bears.
The models also sported purses designed to look like formula containers and Taylor Hill actually wore a baby mobile as a tiara.
Gigi’s fans think she pushed her look a little far by drinking from the baby bottle...and called the entire fashion line “ridiculous” and noted that Gigi looked “very different”.
“This has to be the most ridiculous line I have ever seen!!” a fan wrote in the comments.
“You call this fashion???” said a fan.
“What’s up with the baby bottle???Why dose Gigi look so different here?” asked a user.
“They are wearing their children's bedding,” a comment read.
“Am I the only one who finds “provocatively” biting a baby bottle to be deeply unhinged?” said a user.
Gigi Hadid gave birth to her daughter with Zayn Malik nearly a year ago, and has fought for her privacy ever since. The model appears to have channeled her motherly side for the fashion show, though the look has been somewhat off-putting for her many fans!
The supermodel kicked off New York Fashion Week on the runway at Proenza Schouler on September 9 for their Spring Summer 2022 Runway Show.
