Aside from raising a brand new baby and absolutely slaying Halloween, Gigi and the Hadid fam have been keeping up with the 2020 presidential election. She and her sisters have been vocal about their support for Trump's opponents from the start, and are now in full celebration mode as The Donald prepares to leave the White House for good.

In her IG Stories this weekend, Gigi called special attention to her famly's own connection with President (for the moment) Trump. Here's what was said about how her multi-millionaire father Mohamed once beat Trump at his own game.

The Real Estate Mogul Got Out-Moguled

Gigi shared her older half-sister Alana's IG Story to her own Stories, featuring a news clipping about their dad's real estate triumph over Trump in the '80s.

Alana (@lanzybear) had written over the clipping: "@JOE BIDEN WASN'T THE FIRST TO DEFEAT DONALD TRUMP. @MOHAMEDHADID DID IT OVER 30 YEARS AGO @ASPENTIMES."

Gigi added "BAHAHHAAAAA WORD. & @lanzybear let's not forget it's also not the first time Trump's been a sore loser (and a racist) as he then placed a cartoon in the paper of our dad leaving town on a camel."

Mohamed Himself Remembered the Victory

Papa Hadid shared the news story himself on IG. He encouraged followers to read details on his post's second page, where it says he won by nabbing 88 acres of land that Trump wanted to own in Aspen, Colarado.

It happened in 1986 when both men were top dogs in the real estate and hotel development scene. While Trump has gone on to squander many of his luxury properties and file for bankrupcy six times, Mohamed's continued to grow his family's wealth through property acquisition and lucrative brand deals for his famously loaded daughters.

Gigi and Bella Are Proud of Their Father

The Hadid sisters have always been outspoken supporters of their dad, sometimes giving insights into the challenges he faced in moving to America from Palestine.

"My dad was a refugee when he first came to America," Bella told Porter Magazine in 2017.

"He was always religious and he always prayed with us. I am proud to be a Muslim."

Gigi has also said "I’m as Palestinian as I am Dutch. Just because I have blonde hair, I still carry the value of my ancestors and I appreciate and respect that."

It seems like Mohamed didn't only beat Trump in his prime, he also raised his daughters to be compassionate, politically engaged women with respect for their culture. Talk about #DadGoals.
