The Flash star Grant Gustin is showing off his "beefier" physique on social media as the star prepares for the return of the Arrowverse's seventh season.

On Instagram, Gustin shared a progress photo of himself seven months ago and today, showing that he has bulked up and gained a lot more muscle. Along with his side-by-side photo, he shared a lengthy caption about why he has decided to take this time to take better care of himself, and how the coronavirus has "helped kickstart" his journey to become a "better version of myself."

"About 7 months ago I finally decided to break my cycle of not taking care of myself as well as I should," Grant shared in his post. "As many of you know, I've had anxiety and sometimes depression for as long as I can remember. Over the last 7-10 years or so as I've been more of a 'public figure' and had a busier schedule, my anxiety only got worse," he wrote.

The actor openly shared that being able to be "alone" because of the pandemic has helped him to make better choices when it came to his diet and exercise, and what prompted him to make the change also included, "daily meditation, and just trying to be more present and happy with who I am."

Now, with his much more bulkier appearance, Grant stated that fans can see his character with "a little bit of beef" starting around the first few episodes of the upcoming seventh season.

The Flash is set to premiere on The CW on Tuesday, March 2nd at 8 p.m. ET.
