Halsey has named her favorite song to perform live, no matter how many times she has sung it so far.

The American singer/songwriter, who rose to fame in 2015 with first album Badlands,  performed a special acoustic performance for Magnum yesterday (July 16). In the clips, she donned hot pink wavy hair to match the ice cream company campaign #TrueToPleasure signature hue. The Belgian brand donated money to a cause close to Halsey’s heart, pledging $50,000 to GLSEN, an organization providing LGTBQ+ students with an educational environment free of judgment and harassment.

The openly bisexual singer performed several songs, including her 2017 hit Bad At Love, straight off her second studio album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. Halsey belted out the ballad about dealing with jealousy, and addressing her own romances with men and women in a flawless manner. Fans were quick to point out how amazing her vocal range is.

Halsey retweeted a video of her singing Bad At Love posted by a fan, who was amazed at “the amount of control […] over her voice”.

The singer explained Bad At Love is her favorite song to sing live, “still even after having to sing it 100,000 times since it came out”.

Halsey Has A Poetry Book Out Soon

2020 seems to be a good year for Halsey as she released her third album, Manic, in January. She also has her first poetry book I Would Leave Me If I Could coming out soon. The collection of poems is available to preorder on her website and is due for release later this year.

According to the official synopsis, the project will include “never-before-seen poetry of longing, love, and the nuances of bipolar disorder,” with whom the singer was diagnosed when she was 17.

“I wrote a few thousand sentences but am somehow struggling to string together a single one to summarize how excited I am about this,” she wrote when announcing the book.

Halsey has always been candid about her own struggles, including her attempt to take her own life, her 2015 miscarriage, and subsequent endometriosis diagnosis, as well as her experience as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

The singer’s most recent relationship was with recent relationship with American Horror Story actor Evan Peters, previously linked to Emma Roberts. Peters and Halsey started dating in September 2019, but breakup rumors started circulating in March 2020, and in April she removed all posts on her Instagram of her and the actor in April. She had been in relationships with producer Lido, rapper G-Eazy, and musician Yungblud.
