The Harry Potter books, which were written by J. K. Rowling, started being released in 1997, and soon after, eight movie versions were created, as well. There was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 2001, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in 2002, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 2004, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2007, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in 2009, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 in 2010, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2011.
By now, the stars of these films are super well known all over the world, and many of them have gone on to be featured in other exciting television shows and films. And while fans may always think of them as these characters from this story, it is fun to see them outside of this world, as well. 20 Emma Watson
Emma Watson is one of the most well-known stars from this franchise, since she portrayed Hermione Granger, one of Harry Potter’s best friends. She has continued to act in big works such as Little Women, The Circle and Beauty and the Beast, but she will always be this smart heroine to fans.
19 Bonnie Wright
Bonnie Wright had a pretty important part in these flicks, as she portrayed Ginny Weasley; the Weasley family is a favorite one, and this character ended up with Harry Potter himself! She, too, has kept on acting, being in things like a retelling of A Christmas Carol from last year.
18 Evanna Lynch
A very quirky character is Luna Lovegood, who was portrayed by Evanna Lynch. In the past few years, this actress has appeared in some shorts, the Sinbad TV show, a video game and a TV movie called Danny and the Human Zoo.
17 Evanna Lynch And Bonnie Wright
Next up is a photo of Bonnie Wright and Evanna Lynch, who are two of the most popular females from these flicks. While these two certainly filmed some scenes together as Ginny and Luna, it is extra cool to see them out of character and in real life.
16 Katie Leung
Katie Leung was Cho Chang in these films, a fellow student who Harry liked. Since those days, she has been in television shows such as White Dragon, Chimerica and Moominvalley. While she looked great in her school uniform, she looks even better with her hair down and in this blue blouse!
15 Natalia Tena
Nymphadora Tonks, another memorable character, was portrayed by an actress named Natalia Tena, who is pictured here. Besides being in the Harry Potter movies, she also appeared in shows like Shameless, The Refugees, Origin and most notably, Game of Thrones; she was Osha from 2011 to 2016.
14 Clémence Poésy
Within this story, Clémence Poésy was Fleur Delacour. This character went to another magical school, the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, and everyone was infatuated with her. Bill Weasley was the guy who caught her eye, though, and she married him! Another popular work Poésy was in was Gossip Girl.
13 Genevieve Gaunt
Genevieve Gaunt's first role was as Pansy Parkinson in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. From there, she played a character named Hermione in a made-for-TV movie called The Last Dragonslayer, and she was Wilhelmina in the show The Royals. Here she is as herself, though!
12 Afshan Azad
Up next is another stunning actress who was featured in a few of the Harry Potter movies: Afshan Azad. Within this story, she was Padma Patil, who was in Harry’s class and who went to the Yule Ball with Ron Weasley during the Triwizard Tournament.
11 Shefali Chowdhury
Padma Patil’s sister was Parvati Patil, and actress Shefali Chowdhury played this part. She went to the Yule Ball with Harry Potter himself! Besides being in this magical franchise, Chowdhury has also appeared in three shorts, as well as a dramatic movie titled Kannathil Muthamittal.
10 Tiana Benjamin
Remember Angelina Johnson? This Gryffindor student was portrayed by an actress named Tiana Benjamin, who is shown off right here. Another one of her notable roles was playing Chelsea Fox in the show EastEnders from 2006 to 2010. She will also be in an upcoming work called Absent as Angel.
9 Jessie Cave
This joyful star who is up next is Jessie Cave, and she was Lavender Brown in these films. Cave also was featured as Alicia Ferguson in the TV show Wizards vs. Aliens, and she was in an episode of the popular show Black Mirror (one called Hang the DJ from 2017) as Edna.
8 Julianne Hough
Julianne Hough is a pretty big star, and some may remember that she was in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone as an uncredited Hogwarts Schoolgirl. Now, she is seen on the cover of magazines, on television shows, in movies and on celebrity news shows all the time!
7 Scarlett Byrne
Pansy Parkinson was actually played by some other people over the years, such as Scarlett Byrne. This pretty star has also been seen in a made-for-TV flick called Lake Placid: The Final Chapter, a TV show called Falling Skies and, of course, The Vampire Diaries; she was Nora Hildegard on this popular series.

Kelly Macdonald portrayed Helena Ravenclaw, and she has been in so many other big things: Alias, Finding Neverland, No Country for Old Men, Nanny McPhee, Boardwalk Empire, Black Mirror and Ralph Breaks the Internet (She was the voice of Merida!) are a few.
5 Miranda Richardson
Everyone remembers Rita Skeeter, and the actress who played this part, Miranda Richardson, is much more appealing than this selfish and sneaky character was! Besides portraying this journalist within this franchise, Richardson has been in movies such as Muppets Most Wanted, shows like Girlfriends and the mini-series Good Omens.

Emma Thompson is one of the most celebrated women in Hollywood, and she is constantly being featured in big hits. Remember that once upon a time, though, she was Professor Sybil Trelawney at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Here she is in real life, looking as fabulous as ever.

Another very loved and successful star is Helena Bonham Carter. She has been Princess Margaret, All-Maudra, Elizabeth Taylor, Queen Elizabeth the Red Queen and Marla Singer, to name a few of her past roles, but for many, she will always be thought of as Bellatrix Lestrange.
