When it comes to the magical world of wizardry, where you came from is more important than who you are today. The bloodlines, or blood status, of a wizard was so important that it was a major part of the First Wizarding War, where Lord Voldemort took over for his initial reign of terror.

Throughout the Harry Potter films, the status of each student's bloodline eventually comes back around and forces them to make a decision about where their loyalty lies. It also affects which House they are chosen for when they first arrive at the school.

The blood status covered in the film series also parallels a lot of what goes on in the real world, especially when talking about racism and how pure a wizard's bloodline is. We decided to create a list of important characters from the Harry Potter films and classify them by their blood status.
