Long time Harry Potter fans have for a while been shipping the brilliant and gifted Hermione Granger with the arrogant and narcissistic Draco Malfoy. As incompatible a relationship between these two beloved characters might seem, the Dramione ship remains a fan favorite.

Although the franchise has never canonized the relationship, fans of the Harry Potter franchise might be celebrating a love story between Emma Watson and Tom Felton soon.

A romance between their real live counterparts, Emma Watson and Tom Felton, looks like it is becoming a strong possibility, and fans are positively buzzing at the news.

Actors Watson and Felton have maintained a good relationship since their Harry Potter days, which only stirred up more hope from fans with regards to a possible romance.

In an interview with Entertainment Online on Thursday, June 3rd, the Harry Potter actor was asked about earlier conjecture concerning a budding romance with his former co-star, who is in a relationship of a year with businessman Leo Robinton.

His response was, at the very least, intriguing.

According to Felton, "We are something, if that makes any sense, we've been very close for a long time. And I adore her, I think she's fantastic. Hopefully, she returns the compliment. But as far as the romantic side of it, I think that's a Slytherin-Gryffindor thing rather than a Tom and Emma thing."

Watson has yet to return the compliment, but the pair have known each other since they began filming the first Harry Potter movie in 2001.

She was 10, and Felton 12, at the time. It is no secret that they are fond of each other, although not necessarily romantically - though the actress has even admitted to having a crush on Felton in the past.

In the year 2011, after the release of The final Harry Potter movie, Watson told Seventeen that while filming the first two movies she had a crush on Felton, who was apparently her very first crush.

She expressed that they both knew about it, and that it was a subject of conversation for the both of them. She also said that even after years they still laugh about it and their friendship is as strong as ever.

Felton's response came months later, but for him the feeling wasn't mutual, "We were always very close, but no, nothing of that nature, Sorry to disappoint," he reported.

Although he didn't have a crush on Watson, he revealed that he adores her and was very flattered by her revelation.

"It was very flattering for a 12-year-old boy, but it's nice that we've become friends since then and we can kind of look back and have a laugh at it." Felton told E! News.

There's no doubt that they have a very strong relationship, but are there feelings involved? We can only speculate, but with the change in the answer from Felton now leaning more towards the ambiguous than before, the possibility is worth exploring.
