It is truly remarkable how the elite in Hollywood find the time to train, despite their crazy schedules. If you're Dwayne Johnson, it's a non-issue, he basically takes those thousands upon thousands of pounds of equipment and travels with it... Henry Cavill isn't as intense... well, as we'll reveal, he isn't that intense yet, though he does plan on creating a similar structure to the one of DJ.

Yes, both individuals are extremely driven and hard-working, though they are receiving some guidance behind the scenes. The man behind their physiques is none other than Dave Rienzi, who also happens to be the husband of The Rock's ex-wife, Dany Garcia. We'll discuss everything he does to keep two of Hollywood's best in shape year-round.

Dwayne Johnson And Henry Cavill Eat And Train Intensely Religiously

It is no secret by now, Dwayne Johnson and Henry Cavill are both pretty darn intense when it comes to their training. DJ gave up going to public gyms, given all the attention he typically receives, instead, he has his own 'Iron Paradise', which is open at any hour he pleases, whether it be at 4 AM, or in the late hours of the evening.

As for Henry Cavill, he revealed alongside Men's Health that he's looking for a similar structure to one that Dwayne currently has.

"I have gone through peaks and troughs in my physicality, depending on how hard a job has been, how much physical work I've put into it and having to have time off afterward and not having access to the same facilities to train in," Cavill says in the interview when asked on how his fitness priorities have shifted. "One of the big things now is that I'm investing in making sure I have those facilities always available to me."

We're not quite sure if he'll go to the extreme by actually traveling with his gym... something DJ typically does when he's filming at a different location overseas. What we do know, is that both men are driven individuals and a lot of it had to do with the guidance they're both receiving behind the scenes.

Dave Rienzi Is The Man Behind Dwayne Johnson And Henry Cavill's Physiques

Dave Rienzi is the man behind both Dwayne Johnson and Henry Cavill's often discussed physiques. In truth, both require different structures.

For Cavill, during his time on 'The Witcher', one of his biggest goals improving his skills when it came to stunts. Therefore, his mobility and strengthening of the posterior chain were among the top priorities of his coach. He was prescribed some Romanian Deadlifts, with a slow and controlled tempo.

As for Dwayne, the biggest goal is keeping his conditioning and look on point yearly, given how many projects and appearances he typically has lined up. DJ's trainer elaborated about the approach alongside Cinema Blend.

“It’s extremely important. We hold his conditioning in a very tight window to allow him to be ‘scene ready’ at any moment. Keeping him at striking distance ensures that we never need to take drastic measures to obtain a certain look or over-stress his body. The bottom line is that he always needs to be able to perform at his best on-screen. The execution of his diet and training needs to be as nuanced and complementary as possible to allow him to do that consistently.”

Although the two individuals hit it hard in the gym year-round, they do have certain points when it is time to let off the gas just a little bit.

Johnson And Cavill Do Have Grace Periods From Their Intense Training

Even Dwayne Johnson needs a break every now and then. He'll always train intensely, however, he does have certain moments when it is time to let off diet-wise.

Typically, DJ uses this on Sunday nights, as he tucks the kids into bed, puts on a film or NFL football, and indulges in a nice cheat meal. The actor has a variety of favorites, including sushi, hamburgers, sandwiches, pancakes, and oh yea, chocolate peanut butter cookies.

Cavill follows a similar set of rules, as he revealed alongside Jimmy Fallon. According to the star, he'll typically change the aim of his diet plan.

When he's not prepping for a role or needs to put on muscle mass, the diet is a lot more relaxed, with fatty foods added into the equation like a burger. The increase in calories not only beefs up the star, but it also helps for the mental aspect, adding some happy fats into the diet.
