While you wait for Snyder Cut from DC, you might want to look back at one of the original Superman films, especially the famous trilogy helmed by Christopher Reeve. Henry Cavill might be the only Superman you can think of but there have been a few over the years, causing people to believe there's a curse on anyone who's played the beloved comic book character.

Unfortunately for Reeve, Cavill wound up making more than him in his first Superman movie, Man of Steel. But Reeve still got $3 million out of putting on those blue tights, setting his net worth at the same number when he died in 2004.

Now Reeve's three children have about the same net worth as their father, and even more. His son Will Reeve is worth about $13 million, his daughter, Alexandra Reeve Givens, is worth $700,000 and his other son, Matthew Reeve, is worth $1.7 million.

They didn't have to fly around saving the world to earn those net worths though. Here's how they did it.

How Reeve's Oldest Son, Matthew, Gained $1.7 Million

During the height of his Superman fame, Reeve was with his long time partner Gae Exton, who was English. Together they had Matthew and Alexandra, but unfortunately, they never took the step to marry and eventually split in 1987.

While Reeve stayed in America and started a new family, Matthew and Alexandra stayed in England with their mother. They visited their father in the summers, though, and rushed to his bedside after his 1995 horseback riding accident that left him paralyzed.

Matthew is the only one of Reeve's children who followed in his footsteps. He graduated from Brown University in 2002, and shortly after, he produced and directed a documentary on his father called, Christopher Reeve: Hope in Motion, which was nominated for an Emmy.

After Reeve's death in 2004, there was a follow-up documentary that was released called Christopher Reeve: Choosing Hope.

In 2006, Matthew became a part of his father and step-mother's foundation, the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, when he joined the Board of Directors. He later went on the foundation's Quality of Life Committee and Executive Committee, and in 2014 he became Vice-Chair of International Development.

Over a three year period, Matthew filmed, produced, and directed a documentary called Over The Water, which was about World Champion kiteboarder, Aaron Hadlow.

As if his resume doesn't already look promising, he also has a dual master's degree from NYU Stern School of Business and NYU Tisch School of the Arts, ran in the New York City Marathon for spinal cord injury research, sponsored a study of epidural stimulation, and is a keynote speaker.

He has produced a bunch of shorts like Sunday Dinner, Shadow Puppets, and Ladies who Lunch, and has written the short, Better Days Ahead. His most recent project this year was writing the television series, Agent Hamilton.

Although some sources don't have a clear number on his net worth, one has estimated it as being $1.7 million.

How His Sister Alexander Has The Lowest Net Worth

Even though Alexandra has the lowest net worth of the three siblings, at $700,000, her job isn't any less important than her brothers. In fact, she is very successful and was just named President & CEO of the Center for Democracy & Technology in March.

Like her brother, Matthew, she also went to impressive colleges and earned a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, and also serves on the Board of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

She is also a mayoral appointee on D.C.’s Innovation and Technology Inclusion Council and served as Chief Counsel for IP and Antitrust on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

She was also an adjunct professor at Columbia University School of Law. She has worked on legislative for things like "patent reform, federal trade secrets legislation, net neutrality, First Amendment issues surrounding online speech, access to medicines, and oversight of mergers and antitrust policy."

Before being appointed as the President & CEO of the Center for Democracy & Technology, she was the founding Executive Director of the Institute for Technology Law & Policy at Georgetown Law.

According to CDT.org, she is an "advocate for using technology to increase equality, amplify voices, and promote human rights. At CDT, Alex leads a diverse team that is putting democracy and individual rights at the center of the digital revolution."

Reeve's Youngest Son, Will, Is A Journalist

After Reeve left Gae Exton, he married American actress, Dana Morosini, and they had their son Will shortly after. He was twelve when his father died, and a year later he was orphaned at thirteen after his mother died of lung cancer.

He played a lot of sports growing up and took his passion for them to a career in sports journalism. He is a sports broadcaster at ABC News and ESPN.

After graduating from Middlebury College, he was an intern at ABC's Goodmorning America and went on to secure a job at ESPN's SportsCenter.

He also had a brief acting career when he starred in In The Gloaming and The Brooke Ellison Story, which were both directed by his father.

Now he's a correspondent for Good Morning America. Along with his siblings, he is also an ambassador of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

While it is still undetermined how much his net worth is exactly, he had to have gotten some inheritance from both his parents after they died. Reeve was worth $3 million when he died, and his mother was worth $10 million. Put that together with his salary as a journalist, and you're looking at somewhere past $13 million.

Even though the three Reeve children have different net worth's they are equally successful and continue their father's legacy as a team. Reeve would probably think of them as his own personal superheroes.
