If you watched the massively successful and heavily talked about series, Bridgerton, on Netflix, you know that Simon Basset is one of the leading men in the tv series. Gifs of Basset are shared on social media and in text conversations all the time; his charming appeal didn't just make Daphne Bridgerton weak at the knees — it got all of us! So, who plays Simon Basset? The equally as charming Rege-Jean Page.

While Rege-Jean Page's first role most certainly wasn't as Simon Basset in the Netflix series, Bridgerton, it was an important role for him. Page is handsome, almost painfully so, and the influential role in Bridgerton was a pretty massive one. He exudes power, grace, intelligence, and sex appeal in the series, and it's not surprising to anyone that he embodied the role so well.

He even went on to host an episode of Saturday Night Live where part of his skits focused on his jaw-dropping charm. Page has a way of enamoring his audience, and we don't hate it one bit. Being part of a tv series like Bridgerton can change things for those involved in the project.

So what did landing a starring role as one of the most eligible and handsome Duke's on Bridgerton do for Page's life? What has his road in the business been like? Let's take a look!
