6 He Transformed His Body For The Role

The Spider-Man series is evidently filled with action-packed scenes and are heavy on intense physicality. The extreme stunts and famous parkour by Peter Parker definitely require to be in great physical shape. Tom Holland never took this lightly as he has always been extremely dedicated in transforming his body to become as physically strong as possible to properly portray his successful role as Spider-Man.

With the third movie to the Spider-Man series, 'Spider-Man: No Way Home,'  set to be released this December, Holland has been extra committed to getting into the best shape he possibly can for this third installment. He has been vocal on his Instagram regarding his transformation, as the post reveals he's been working alongside trainer Duffy Gaver, to get Spider-Man ready.

5 He's Dedicated To Using His Gymnastic And Dancing Skills

Throughout his childhood, Holland practiced gymnastics and additionally, "became active in parkour running during his adolescence."  He is also an experienced dancer, which checks another box off on the list of reasons why he is greatly suited for the role of Spider-Man. Vox.com writes, "Gymnastics and parkour are valuable skills for any action performer to have, but actors must be able to emote through that movement if they’re going to headline an entire franchise." This behind-the-scenes dedication to bringing the best version of Spider-Man to life, shows Holland's passion for this role.

4 He Refused To Wear A Wig

Spider-Man film, wanted to have Holland wear a wig while filming though, he wasn't happy about this suggestion and "insisted that he keep his edgier locks."  The actor put his "foot down" as the lead actor of the film as DigitalSpy.com states, he changed Peter Parker's usual look to a "shorter" hairstyle.

3 He Updates His Fans On Movie News

After the releases of 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' and 'Spider-Man: Far From Home," Marvel fans have been anticipating the release of the third Spider-Man instalment. Holland has never been too shy to reveal any news about filming as he "has a reputation in the Marvel universe for divulging certain details about forthcoming films at inopportune moments."  The actor's immense involvement in his role as Spider-Man has definitely prompted him in updating his fan on any Marvel-related updates, but this third time around he has had to keep it to just some simple Instagram posts.

1 He Does A Lot Of His Own Stunts

Holland is known for doing as many of his stunts he is "legally allowed to do"  while on set however, he does get some help as well from some talented stunt doubles. Although, the actor does have other stunt doubles step in for him on certain stunts for safety reasons, he does still have the professionals coach him throughout the stunts he can do.

The stunts they do require throughout filming could be intimidating and simply frightening to perform as Cheatsheet.com states Holland said, "Whenever there was a stunt that I didn’t necessarily feel comfortable about, they would step in and show me how to do it, and coach me through the process.” Though, the actor was not able to do all of the stunts throughout the films, his commitment to learning and being coached on the performances he was legally allowed to do, highlights his strong abilities as an actor and shows his true Spidey senses.
